Fun, frustrating, great music

Kind of like untimed Tetris with dominos and music. Fun to play, great graphics. Frustrating when I make stupid moves. Update: Still fun, even after 555 games. A little embarrassing how much time I spend playing games, but the graphics, music, and challenge of beating my high score keep me coming back. I don’t have the problems the other reviewers mention with bad tile drops. Engaging amusement.

I have been playing Domino Drop Tails steadily for 14 months and my interest has not flagged yet after over 23k games. I absolutely love it and play every single day, sometimes for hours. Great brain reset. A few things could be improved: Would love to be able to redo an accidental move or replay the same game again to try different ways of approaching. Also, if left open, the game prevents my iPhone from going into lock/sleep mode so it could be a security issue and I sometimes lose battery life if I don't watch out.

Let me let you all in on why this game is my absolute favorite on the entirety of the App Store. This game has a basis- a plot. Allow me to explain myself. See what any average guy or girl as yourself, the reader of this review would think, is that this game is just what it advertises. But it simply is not, and i truly think the brilliant developers of this game already knows this. This is not just a game of placing dominoes, this game is not just of wit. What you have to understand before downloading this game is that you are not playing a game, you are involving yourself in a cosmic game of chess. When you open the app, you slide up to start your board, its not just you. You are engulfed in the basis of singularity. See, this game, i put my heart and soul into this, because it speaks to me. This game, its not out there to get you. You place a matching pair, maybe three, maybe four. How does that make you feel? What i have learned is that its not just that. This game does not set you up for failure. The high-score is not just a number, it is how many conversations you have had the luck of having with an intelligent being. You are given dominoes. You place them. That is your job. But you realize, that what is given is meant for you. It is meant to help you. What you are given is not meant to make you loose, its meant to make you win. You have to decide not just to place it, but where you are being silently told to place it. Where is it that you were MEANT to place that domino. The intelligence behind the screen is meant to give you hope- hope that you cannot loose. And that is what it is, you simply cant loose. If you understand the language of the game, then you understand that this game isn't a game, it is a stop at a coffee bar. You are having a drink with the cosmic being which resides behind the walls of your smartphone. If you learn the language correctly, you cant loose. You cant win. You talk. Once you get a game over, you haven't lost a thing; the longer you play the more talk you've had with the cosmic god of this universe. Restarting the game is like the beginning of yet a new conversation. I may just be the biggest fan of this game, truly. I am so appreciative of its existence, its developers. If you guys do read this and respond, please don't think i am a psychopath. I love each and every one of you. Have a great day.
Control issue / fun game

This game is fun, requires some strategy and can be self taught. It is maddening, however, to have a slight change in your finger contact drop your piece in the wrong place screwing up your whole “board”. There is no undo. Additionally, it takes about 3 clicks / screens to start a new game when you’ve finished the last (even the same game). These seem like simple fixes, but don’t get addressed. Fun game though!
