I would give this APP five stars from the standpoint of a dog owner looking for a sitter - it's truly been amazing connecting my dog with sitters while we travel. We loved it so much we thought it would be fun to try hosting too. Here's where my three DOGVacay stars come in. Applying as a host has taken absolutely ages - it's been a week and I'm still waiting. Then upon approval, it will take another week to get background checked. Also, the photo uploader used to set up a "host" profile was faulty and took ages to sort out - it kept zooming in on random parts of my face and was very pixilated and frustrating to use. Funny enough, the day I signed up as a host for DogVacay, I ran into a lady who recommended Rover.com -- so I ended up signing up that same day for Rover.com (took 10 min). By day 2, my Rover profile was public and my background checks were complete. By day 3 I already had 2 new clients. Day 4, I'm being interviewed for a new long term client. All the while, my DOGVacay profile is still sitting in a queue and every time I call I get an ominous 1-5 more days response. Bottom line, Rover.com has been hands down more efficient in terms of processing a host profile through. Time is $ as they say and while I'm just doing this for fun, 20% of all the business I'm getting through Rover.com could have gone into DogVacay's pockets. It's a competitive app world ~ and as hosts contribute to this apps profits, DOGVacay needs strengthen their processing dept to meet host demands.

The app looks very outdated but works with few glitches. I'm a host and have been getting requests quickly. The app is very one-sided, though: only the host gets reviewed, not the dog or dog owner, which doesn't make much sense.
Terrible sync with text messaging

Some text messages come thru but most don't. What's the point of text message sync if I have to check the app all the time? Disappointed!!
Allow for more flexibility in your app.

I would like the ability to change the amount of dogs that I will take at my house based on calendar dates instead of a blanket # of dogs all the time. For instance, over holidays I might want less dogs but can't change just specific date ranges. Also text messages don't always sync.

WoW. Our Aussie Sadie was well taken care of. She had never been boarded before and I was very worried. Before we hit the highway pictures of her started coming in and continued It was so reassuring.
