It's easy to use the Dish For My RV - Dish Network Satellite Finder! Simply point your iPhone towards the southern sky and see on the live camera where the satellites are. You can then easily determine if there are any obstacles preventing you from receiving a satellite signal. This is the ultimate line-of-sight tool!!!
Use this app when camping, RV'ing, tailgating or at home. Use it anytime you need to know if those tree's, buildings or any other type of obstacle might be in the way.
The following Dish Network satellites are supported: 61.5°w, 72.7°w, 77°w, 110°w, 118.7°w, 119°w and 129°w.
This is accomplished by using the iPhones built in video camera with an overlay of all the Dish Network residential satellites as dots in the sky.
To use, simply point your iPhone towards the southern sky and see everything on the live video screen. The Dish Network satellites will show up as red dots as you move your iPhone around, allowing you to quickly and easily determine if there are any obstructions in the way.

This software allows you to see if satellite reception is plausible at your current location and is not intended to help align your dish.
When using this application the iPhones internal compass is used to help locate satellites in the sky. It is extremely important that this software is used outdoors away from objects that can cause interference to the compass. Any compass interference will cause the satellites to move sporadically. Please avoid using this software by any object that can cause magnetic interference.

I found the three round red balls right off! The HD sat (129) was partially blocked by a tree branch. Good info. The balls do move position some depending on how you hold your phone but this app still gives me good positioning for my Tailgator.

I spent my $5 because they said it WORKS without cell service. This is NOT the case. If you have service everywhere you camp then by all means, buy this app. If you don't, you'll be disappointed, as am I. I even emailed the developer for support, of course nobody has replied. Hope you enjoy my $5, you'll not get any more.
Overpriced for what it does, not worth the money

This app doesn't really do anything worth paying for. You are likely already going to have your dish with you and getting it set up. So, why do you need an app to tell you if there's good line of sight? That's all this does. It doesn't help you point or anything. You can just point the dish, turn on the tv, and see what happens and save the money. Completely overpriced for the single use it has. Don't buy. Wish I didn't.

I use this in the mountains when camping. It does really well. The new update is spectacular. If you use the tailgater by Dish, this app is a must have.

I wish Dish Network would have recommended this app when we purchased dish and subscription. We cut down 6 trees at our mountain cabin before we searched the App Store for a "satellite finder". Worked great...

It never worked. I have a Dish at my home already setup and tried this this app at my cabin. This app never located any satellite’s. I brought it home and it still did not locate any there. Another useless app that steals peoples money. I hope you enjoyed my 10 bucks!!!!

This App will not work on my iPhone 4s. It will only pick up satellites 61.5, 72.7, 77 you can NOT pick up satellites 110, 118.7, 119, and 129. I was in open area.
