I've only used it for like a minute so far but I have a good impression of it. It's like back then when you read a book and get suggestions based on the ones you read--but instead it's regarding musicians. The design is modern and it's pretty neat thus far.

Badly needed updates after a 1 year absence

After a 1 year absence, the developer is back and completed some badly needed updates. Program works great and provides a great way to discover new music. I hope development continues and this app remains relevant.

One of my main music discovery resources. Stuff like HypeMachine's Stacks are really nice for quick curated stuff, but I like to sit down once a week or so and really spend some time looking for new stuff. Discovr falls mostly into the latter category and lets you manually jump from one linked artist to another. There is a "recommended" area that, well, recommends stuff based on your AM library, but the main feature here is the manual interface. This app is similar to, but sooooooooo much deeper than, "related artists" in AM or Spotify. Same idea, but you can rabbit hole way better in Discovr. The new app is an improvement in pretty much every way… great incorporation of top songs, bios, etc. The dev has somehow figured out how to squeeze a bit more love outta me. I really think this should have been a paid update, and I wouldn't have hesitated to purchase it again if it had. Highly recommended.

Simply amazing. Two minutes in and this App has met and exceeded every challenge I've thrown at it. Two minutes! I've got a very, very deep library and some really obscure/unknown artists and genres but not one thing has stumped the App. Zero! Information on related artists in spot on! Seriously blown away. I'm in love.
