Waste of time

The idea behind "dinner/restaurant selector/spinner apps" is to find a restaurant at random. With this app, you have to add each restaurant to the menu of selections. A prior knowledge of restaurants is needed (or find pins on the map.) If you are local, this is annoying. If you happen to be traveling, this app will not help you find a place to eat in an unfamiliar town.

Great idea. Needs work.

VERY limited restaurant selection. Mostly old data, like places that are old, closed, or crappy.

Love it!

My wife and I go on trips all the time and NEVER have any idea where to eat. This is the perfect solution for us, and the app sports a beautiful UI. Another job well done Iconfactory!

Meh....

Where's the Yelp integration? This is useless if you have to load the database before you can use it!

Not easy to use

Warning - you have to enter all restaurants one at a time. There's nothing automatic about it. I thought it would randomly suggest something near you. Nope. It just shows pins on a map.

Perfect

Exactly what *I* want! This app lets me save all my favorite places, and the map displays all the places close by if I want to explore new places to eat. Many other diner apps just blindly list everything in a category. This app is personal; about MY favorites! And it's ideal for traveling too! It saves what I like in other areas, so I can easily return to that great little diner outside Philly next time I'm there. Simple, clear design...and the retro graphics are amazing. LOVE this app...it's perfect.

No way !! Not a time saver !!

As previously mentioned, you have to manually input all your favorite restaurants. If you want to have a Resturant show up, you have to enter it. Sounds ridiculous right, if you are traveling outside your home area, again you have to input each Resturant in, one by one. How am I supposed to know the Restaurants in a area I am traveling too? I have to go online or grab the yellow pages (oh yea, forget about the yellow pages) and enter restaurants in the area I am traveling too for perhaps only staying one night and might not visit again. What if I am traveling to an area once, put all that data in, building the database for one overnight stay? to much work to build a database that I might only visit once?? I didn't need to spend 99 cents on a fancy looking excel spreadsheet

If you have half a brain, do not purchase this app...!

I should have listened to Mr. Guttman! You have to do all the work for this app. What is the point of entering all the restaurants yourself, only to have this app regurgitate the same stuff you input and offer nothing new? A total waste of a buck the way it is now!!

Amazingly Cheesy...

But I've been missing the Wheel of Food from TealMeal!

Useful app, but obnoxious sounds
pferro

The ability to track selected favorite places is just what I want, and the lookup feature seems to work well -- however, the app makes obnoxious, overly-loud sounds which can't be disabled.
