There is a paid version of the app. Don’t buy it. The app doesn’t work.
I run my law firm’s litigation practice. I’ve used Digital Binder now for a couple years. It has had some bugs, but they seem to have been resolved. This product has been a significant part of our successful transition to paperless. I no longer go into court, depositions, mediations or client meetings with large three-ring prep binders. Every binder is created by my secretary and uploaded to Dropbox, where it automatically syncs with my Digital Binder iPad app. I travel a lot, and the ability to email my secretary a request to add a new section to my prep binder, and then see that section immediately pop up in my binder is great. The design of the app is important, because it helps others in my firm transition from the three ring hard copy binders they are comfortable with, to a similar interface on their iPads. The item I wish the app would improve is handwritten note taking. I need to use other apps to make notes on my PDFs, and they work great. I wish this app would leverage the accurate iPad Pro/Pencil technology to make handwritten notes more legible and not a series of separate annotations that are difficult to save and edit.
The app is so confusing and such bad quality. There’s no instructions on how to do anything.. not to mention that the text is so small, you can barley read it. ?
I downloaded this app so I could create binders on my iPad & MacBook Pro. I emailed support & they said binders cannot be created using Mac. You have to use a windows computer to transfer binders to iPad. How stupid! Why is this app on the App Store?
This allows you to view gDoc files, not create them. That's its purpose. It does that just fine. In fact they look better on iPad then a computer screen.
There is no way to import or navigate and select a binder. Please push an update to give this app functionality.
I tried this app with the intent on purchasing it to fit my work purposes. When I downloaded the app, I immediately read through the example binder. This binder was useful for introducing features of the program. Unfortunately, it did a horrible job of informing the consumer of how to actually purchase and use the program itself. I had to research the website to find that you can only buy this program on the website using a Windows computer. They do not have iOS support for MacBooks. GDoc needs to redo the example binder and have a step by step tutorial on what the consumer needs to do to actually buy the working version of the program or rework it into the iPad app itself. They also need to have iOS support for MacBooks. It does not make sense to have an iPad app, but no iOS support for the program itself for MacBooks especially if you want the consumer to use the program via computer then only use iPad as a viewer. Very disappointed.
