How to use Digimarc Discover to scan Digimarc Barcodes in Product Packaging. Print & Audio Media
1. Look for special icons or other messaging in the print or audio media indicating that it is Digimarc Barcode-enhanced.
2. Open the Digimarc Discover app.
3. For print: hold your phone 4-7” away from the interactive image and let your camera focus on any part of the image. For audio*: no action is required. Just make sure the audio is enabled, you have provided permission for the app to access your microphone, and that the microphone is not blocked by your hand.
4. Enjoy accessing online content from the world around you!

Read the other reviews re: App not working - but recent updates must have worked because it works just fine - just downloaded a few recipes.

After reading the other reviews I almost decided not to try it. I am very happy to report it works with no problems. I used the app on articles in my HEALTH magazine. Oh, I have an I-phone 5S.
The way to make it work

It worked for me but not until I re-read the directions. You have to hold your phone only a few inches away from the photo of the recipe. Don't try to view the whole page - or the whole photo.

Worked like a charm on both my iPhone and iPad the day I downloaded it. Hasn't worked since. Even tried trashing and re-downloading. Would be a great app, if they ever get the bugs out. Waiting for the next version.
