I purchased Scotland Yard and liked the game a lot. When it disappeared I wrote Demansal and got some vague reply. It was still on my iPad, however, and I played it. Now it is re-issued as Detective's Chase (copyrite infringement?) and I am forced to purchase it again to receive any future updates. It should have been free to those who had already purchased it like an update, just to show good faith. No matter how good a game is, when someone feels cheated, they become cautious. This is a pretty good iPad version of the Scotland Yard board game and probably deserves 4stars or more for gameplay but be warned about this company's practices and ethics. They are suspect at this point. AKG

Plagiarists.

This is blatant thievery of Ravensburger's Scotland Yard game. They apparently had to pull the app and change the name because they don't have rights to the license, but they aren't ashamed to profit from it under a different name. Don't support these pirates. this was an email from the developer, before the app was pulled. "We don't have official license and that is one of major reason we didn't use the same game and concept Our game is inspired from that game and it is no conflict with Ravensburger as it's approved by apple. You will find our game having much more feature but still maintaining simplicity of the game concept"

love Scotland Yard, the board game

I like to play the original board game sometimes, so I was happy to this app appearing in the Store, but its very badly designed, I stopped playing after 5-10 minutes and am going to delete it soon I think, pity...

So Cool!!!!

Poor UI, worse AI

Andrew McKechnie

Not the most intuitive interface. Absolutely terrible AI...unplayable unless you have all humans, and in that case, you might as well play the board game. Hopefully the actual makers of Scotland Yard decide to make an iPad app, so these people stop making any money off their idea.

Poor imitation of Scotland Yard

The real Scotland Yard is in the app store and is elegant. This has the same premise with enough changes to allow it into the app store I suppose without copyright issues. But the changes are all for the worse. First and foremost, I can't touch where I want to go - pretty much the main feature of an iPad. Instead, scroll a wheel of allowable moves picking one. The map is a cluttered mess of numbers and it's very difficult on the iPad and impossible on an iPod to tell the difference between taxi, bus, and tube stations. I could go on, but just get the real deal. This is a mess.

Bug in settings on ipads

New player enjoying it

This game has a bug that removes the option for clearing your cache or clearing history from ipads. Please remove bug asap. Seems like a good game, though.
