Great app. Only thing that I wish is to let you see the possible rolls/perks a weapon can have. Have to go on Destiny tracker for that.

I find the destiny2 companion app beyond helpful. I had been trying for 1 YEAR AND 2 MONTHS (not consecutively) to receive the rare bounty from Ada-1 so I could get my Izanagi’s Burden quest step to move onto the shattered throne completion step. Me being ignorant and thinking that was all I needed, I was slapped in the face with a quest step afterwards to run the Pyramidian but a special form of it (essentially Heroic) but if you wiped solo (or with a team) at any point in the strike, you would be sent to orbit. I had just gotten back to playing Destiny 2 for Shadowkeep so I had no clan and no friends that had this quest step available. Feeling abandoned at this point I try running it solo. Everything was smooth if I took it one step at a time until I reached the big vex boss at the end. Long story short, to many lasers focused on you from the adds and the boss and I wiped. 45 minutes down the drain. So my friend tells me I can make a fireteam in the D2 companion app and specifically name it “Izanagi’s Burden- The Pyramidian quest step” in under 4 minutes, I had a full fireteam in the app and all I had to do was click their name and choose the option of inviting them through PlayStation. Mind you, only one person came but that was all we needed. We start it up make it to the boss and failed but our time was only at 24 minutes and that was being extremely cautious. We run it again and complete it!!! We also ran the special forge to make the gun together and then went to Ada-1 to FINALLY receive our Izanagi’s Burden. What I’m trying to get at is that this app allowed me to find someone who completely understood how dire it was to stay alive and and complete this mission. Whenever I need anything done and no one wants to help, I’m getting on the Destiny 2 Companion app and finding a fireteam there!

This app is cool cuz I don’t have to change character when I want to transfer gear. I also like how it gives updates on the game. Over all good app, very convenient. Add me on ps4 @Marcosmurdoc

App is great but has a lot of trouble with connection sometimes. Could be my internet but more often than not it’s the app. Pretty cool overall tho. Quick question: you believe in god ? I don’t.

Primarily used to swap gear between characters and vault. Often times could not swap items due to the app not updating my stuff, but this is likely attributed to my internet connection. On a side note, why is this particular function not already implemented into the game? It could be implemented as another tab on the pause screen.
