It pays homage to some of the best tower defense games while adding an interesting approach to player progression. If you like tower defense it's worth the asking price.

This game is really cool and also really hard. One more thing, I love the people who made this game!

I would put this in my top 10 tower defence games list for sure (I have played an awful lot of them.) Perhaps one of the few things that would add to it would be more levels (which they are promising at this point, I think?) Well balanced. Good difficulty progression (rather than being P2W, as in easy and then jumping up the difficulty a lot after five missions...) Highly recommended.

Gotta say, I was initially turned off. Having played a lot of "Kingdom Rush," I was half expecting something the same. Turns out, it's a good bit different and a lot of fun. The retro graphics are a nice touch (retro graphics seem to be the cool thing to do these days) and the music fits the game perfectly. The story is amusing to say the least (stop the children from being rescued, more or less) and the upgrade system is well-balanced. It isn't my favorite app, but it's up there, and it's an excellent deal. If you enjoy casual TD-style gameplay with one-touch control, this is it. -amatt

I had to update this review. The game is too fun to say anything bad. Especially since I figured out that I was an idiot not upgrading towers...

I loved this game when it was free on kongregate. As a mobile game, however, it's been stripped done and tweaked so that you need to spend money to get the same experience. Lame.

I have played this game through and it is a mediocre tower def game at best. Two flaws, first it needs a speed variable button and second after every board don't try to sell me something. That is a way to get me not to buy.
