Initial release
I have light strips in my daughters room that I want to leave on and stay in color. Even when I hide the lights in the app it turns them off. I would love for the app to remember the color but at least just don't affect them at all . but I do love the app it just needs a few tweaks.
This app brings a much desired feature to users on iOS 8, a Notification Center widget for controlling your hue system. With 4 controls that look identical to the hue tap peripheral, it's a simple but friendly way to quickly access your lights!
The ability to turn your lights off and on with the widgets is well worth the $.99. I look forward to future updates allowing the use of color scenes and homekit integration to use Siri.
Simple isn't always bad, and if the author had only created an app that allowed me to turn my lights on or off from the lock screen, that would have been enough… as long as I could select which bulbs are affected by a given preset. All my lights are not in the same room, and I don't want what I do to the bedroom lights to affect the office lights! So given four presets… and three rooms, this is pretty much useless to me. And since it's not saving the current color settings, so it's just a white light dimmer app.
Design is nice, widget function is cool, but it has no possibility (yet) to assign just a subset of hue's. So if you own several bulbs in different rooms, the app is not really usable. A small fix could make this a 5 star app
Says searching for hue bridge. Never finds it. Other apps work and connect fine. Refund please or make it work.
Experiment or a personal app at best. One and done setup can't add new bulbs without deleting the app. Would be convenient...if it was complete. Skip
