The DEER AGE TOOL LITE guides the hunter or game manager in recognizing both the physical and behavioral characteristics of deer PRIOR to harvest by listing key attributes by age class and providing representative photos for each age class. No internet connection is needed so this can be used as a reference while actually hunting in the field. Where there are several methods to age deer AFTER harvest, this method, known as ‘field judging’ deer age, is the only way to subjectively estimate deer age while the animal is alive and “on the hoof”.
This App also provides the user with RESOURCE information on how to age deer AFTER harvest via the “Tooth Wear and Replacement Method” and “Cementum Annuli Method” .

I bought this one because I wanted to know the difference between age groups while I was hunting because I don't want to shoot a young deer. This App gave me all the information I need to do this, plus more. I can read this while I'm in my blind. This is a good guide than has some very good quality photos as well which show the key things I should be looking for. Great for the price and I got what was advertised. I found out that the full version of this App was recently updated and has this entire lite version built into it as well.

I thought this had the tooth age guide included but it doesn't. Not worth the price. You could learn everything and more on wikipedia except you miss the lesson of a fool and his money. I don't recommend paying for this app.

I got exactly what I was hoping for. I am not able to age my deer while I'm in my blind. App works extremely fast and it is very easy to determine age. Well worth the price & more!

I feel really stupid for not only paying $1.99 for the "lite version" but then going on to pay $7.99 for the full version! Like a dog going back to eat his own vomit. Why in the world there are NO images or photos of deer is simply ridiculous. Just basic text on the characteristics of deer at various ages that I already know...but PHOTOS are the only way to truly hone your skills of aging deer on the hoof. This crappy app is about as wasteful as your cousin hunting on yiur lease and shooting a nubbing buck thinking it was a doe. Don't be the stupid cousin...better yet don't be an idiot like me...save your money and buy a book instead. At least you will get some photos.

You cannot judge and base the age of a 2 year old deer and 4 1/2 year old deer based on antlers being inside or outside the ears! Way to few pictures... This app is basically worthless. Good idea... Horrible execution.
