Old favorite

I’ve been playing Deemo for a long time and I’ve recently re-downloaded it to play again and I was delighted to find the forgotten hourglass dlc. It added some really nice songs and new sheets, but I don’t think the plot delivery was strong at all. Maybe if we had some new cutscenes it’d be much better, rather than relying on new positions. The dialogue was acceptable but it took a long time to get( which is understandable, we don’t want to use up the dlc too quickly ), but other than those complaints Deemo is still an old favorite!

(Spoiler-free review) This has firmly cemented itself as one of my favourite games since I bought it on Android several years ago. The game contunues to be supported with updates that add new free songs as well as purchasable albums, and I appreciate the developer’s commitment and continued nurturing of the game past the completed stage. It is it well-designed with gorgeous visuals, symbolism, art style/game design, and music. I love the color design and palettes used for this game througout the rooms and in the gameplay screen, the muted hues are calming, inviting, and immersive. The characters and storyline have depth enough for you to get involved in them if you are interested in doing such, and I appreciate the platonic and simple nature of the game’s relationships. My first playthrough I was constantly wary of some sort of romantic subplot, but upon reaching the conclusion I was refreshed to realize the themes were instead about selfless love and learning how to carry that love with you. Said storyline, however, doesn’t interfere at all with the gameplay-and neither does the gameplay detract from the storyline. It’s easily enjoyed for soley one or the other if that is your wish (the easy levels of the songs are quite accesible/doable if rhythm games are not your strong suit), but I find the experience is very enriching when they are enjoyed together. Once the storyline is complete you are left primarily with the rhythm game, however within the purchasable albums there are many collections and songs themed around the characters or aspects of the storyline made exclusively for the game. Each song is accompanied by a piece of artwork, and you will find a wonderful variety of illustrations and styles, ranging from probably story-cannonical designs/themes to more fantasical interpertations or utilizations of the characters. As for the songs in general, the only connecting thread is that at some point in every song there is a degree of piano music. The game includes a wide varitey of styles, genre, and composers in both the free songs and purchasable collections. The composer and, if applicable, vocalists are clearly noted on the song page, and many of the individuals in the free songs collection have one or more purchaseable collections if you really like the style/rythmn tracks of said artist. The english translations have a few snags here and there, mostly some odd capitalizations in the character dialog, but hardly anything to complain about. Overall I find this to be a lovely, thoughtful, and thoroughly enjoyable game of which I have not tired of since picking it up. Enjoy!

AMAZING GAME

Wow, this game has been a thrill! I just finished the ending yesterday, and it was really touching. My little sister was sitting beside me, and she cried when watching the final story scenes. Now, I really want to get the Forgotten Hourglass although it is 10 USD xD

Mesmerizing good

This game is beautiful beyond any other rhythm game I’ve ever played. The collection of songs is a simple way to find the songs you’re looking for. However there are some minor details that I think are worth looking into, such as: -Adding special offers and bundles so buyers won’t have to keep spending money for a small amount of songs. -A setting that allows you to adjust how high the bar is that your notes hit. -And when you rest your finger when hitting yellow notes it for some reason misses them, you have to keep your finger moving regardless of where the note is. Deemo is still a masterpiece as of now. I highly recommended it for those looking for a straight forward and easy to master game.

It uses very rhythmic music that is really fun to play to. It also can let. you adjust the speed as you like depending on the song or your level of skill, good on the creators

Been playing this game for over 2 years now

This is my favorite game, of all time, ever. I got this game over i think 2 years ago and played it nonstop. The story is amazing and i hope to god that they make a continuation story in the future years. That said the gameplay is phenomenal and the soundtrack is so beautiful that you can get really immersed especially if you have headphones. This game will bring out your competitive side after you feel like youve gotten as good as possible you can always do better and the amazing people at Rayark have kept adding new content to the game so that there is never a dull moment. I have purchased most all of the DLC and have not regretted it. Each album is beautifully composed and most are extremely fun and fast paced. I have played Cytus, and CytusII, and VOEZ, but nothing gives you the absolute rush that Deemo does. The concept art in the game is the best ive seen in any game and i could go on and on about this game. I will be going to college to become a software engineer and it would be a dream to work with Rayark in the future. These developers have shown they really care about the quality of games they release and deserve the praise they get from us as a player community. <3

Fantastic Rhythm game

Only 4 stars because it will never get me as addicted as tap tap revenge did, but still a great game
