I'm a musician and sometimes I'll play in a place where the canned music is louder than the band! I like to take the db measurements and I find that the sound levels can get as high as 90db! Then I know it's time to wear earplugs.

This is a pretty good app. It is only as good as the mic on your phone but it handles spl's and transient loudness well. The ads are meant to be irritating and they are. Otherwise it is good.

The ads are ridiculous. The app was +20db above my db meter. Not enough calibration to adjust for this.

This app is okay. Wish that it would allow for audio calibration or let user set a reference level.

It's a great app. Use it every day on my job site. And very accurate within 1 to 2 dB
What did I expect for 99 cents?

This is OK for displaying the current noise level but I had hoped to monitor a room for 30 minutes to see the noise level over time. NO way to replay that I could tell. For that matter, NO discernable documentation.

The accuracy is not spot-on and the capacity is limited. It is responsive and has a few decent features, though.
