Deceptive pricing, there is NO real discount

There is no discount. They’re charging the same price theaters are charging! They just list a fantasy-inspired super high price as the “original” price and then discount it down to what theaters actually charge you, so you don’t actually pay less for a movie ticket. I checked multiple theaters in multiple cities, each for multiple movies on multiple days of the week, both weekday and weekend, both matinee and evening. This was not an isolated incident. I couldn’t find a single theater within 100 miles of me where there was a real discount. This app is so misleading, so deceptive. Yes, you do get a small popcorn with your ticket, depending on the theater. SO they should market it as such, and not make claims of anything further. “Buy through us and get a free small popcorn, but nothing more.” To claim that original ticket prices are much higher than they really are, they offer a fake discount that really just brings the price to the actual same one theaters are charging, that is dishonest and you should be ashamed of yourselves for trying to deceive people. If you want to use this app so you can get a free small popcorn with your movie ticket, maybe it’s worth it to you. But why even allow such a deceptive company to benefit from you going to the movies. And some theater deals require you buy 2 or more tickets to even get a single small popcorn free! There are no terrific deals to be had through this app. I did some research on the company founder, news articles and TV interviews...I guess we should expect this crap from a guy who made his first million by selling what he admitted were really “crappy long distance” services to people in poor neighborhoods. And then the service he sold was so bad it went bankrupt. Preying on the weak-minded, tricking and cheating people out of their money so you could become a millionaire, I see now why your app is the way it is. Perhaps you can’t negotiate actual discounts with theaters and all you can get them to do is offer a free small popcorn. Fine. But don’t try to deceive us with these fake discounted prices. Deleting app now.

Horrible Average ticket prices are around 11 dollars per movie ticket. This company just charges $18 then claims its 40% off when they charge you $11. It's a scam. If you go to these theaters websites you will see they are charging about the same as this app with the discount.

As a designer of mobile apps, I have to say that this is one of the worst I’ve seen. The UX/UI design is terrible—interactions are unclear, response times are slow, and the basic UI model is poor. The user experience is so bad that I pretty much won’t use this app. Which is sad—the idea of prepaying for discount tickets is great, and I see enough movies that I would use this service. But the abysmal user experience completely puts me off. Please speak to the app designers and either have the app (and the services behind it) substantially rewritten, or find another design firm to completely rewritten. Dealflicks has been badly served by the current app design.
