Incredibly slow to load new stories (upwards of a minute on a solid wifi connection is not acceptable.) Hangs on updating repeatedly. Even closing and relaunching doesn't help. The mobile version of their website works much faster an better. Use that til they get this fixed.

...creating a time-sensitive mobile app that doesn't update??? Checking today, the leading "News" stories are five days old!!! I'm deleting DH to make space for something that operates in "real time" (like The Hollywood Reporter").

As others have mentioned, the slow loading speed is almost unbearable when using the iPhone app. Love the website but the app needs a quick refresh to address this issue.

Deadline needs to bring their breaking news into the smartphone age. Push notifications for big stories (Box office/nightly ratings winner, celebrity deaths, exclusives) are what's missing to set Deadline above the rest. When CNN sends a breaking entertainment news alert to my phone I rush to Deadline for the story. So why not cu out the middle man??

I have had this app for awhile now and I keep thinking that it will be fixed. The app doesn't work and because of that I keep up with the industry through The Wrap app which works perfectly.

The contents of the app won't update. Still got the same news from when i downloaded it a month ago. Neither manual nor automatic content updates work. Please fix this. IP5 with iOS8.0.2.
