Marvelous app for children

Jojo Bar

I downloaded this app after my friends told me about it. Their dyslexic daughter uses this app at school and home for assistance with words and sounds. Very basic and useful app. I encourage all parents with children that are having difficulty with reading and/or writing to give it a try. It's a great app even if your child is not dyslexic. Sometimes we can all use a little extra help in the classroom.

Great app for Dyslexics

Great app! (I wrote a really long, detailed review, but the nickname I used was already taken, so the App Store deleted everything I wrote. I don't have time to recreate it, so I,ll just hit the high ponts.) My 8 year old played with it a lot. He discovered he could make it "rap" the words, by tapping them before the voice finished saying them. I'd make suggestions of words, and he'd find them and try them out. He had so much fun with it, he didn't even realize he was learning. I love the special font, for dyslexics. I'd like an adult version of this app, for my finance because she is dyslexic too. I'd like to have a button on-screen, to copy the word, so it could be pasted in texts, emails, and other apps. That would be a big help to my fiancé because the dyslexia often makes her write a similarly spelled word, instead of the one she really wants. For example, "through" and "thorough".

Great app!

I love this app. The only thing that it doesn't do that I wish it did is that it tells you the words that sound the same but are spelled different and have different meanings but it doesn't explain the proper way to use the words. A dyslexic has problems distinguishing between when to use words like to, too and two. I would have given the app five stars and a must have for any dyslexic if it had the explication on when to use the different spellings.
