DC Monuments

The best walking tour of Washington DC monuments and memorials around! Why strain your eyes to see a distant statue from a tour bus, or get rushed through your favorite site? See DC the way it was meant to be seen: on foot. The National Mall's park-like setting was designed for walking.

Eleven sites are included in the tour. Yes, it can be a lot of walking. So, spread it out over a couple of days, take a break for lunch, or maybe stop at one of the Smithsonians along the way. This tour allows you to go at your own pace.

Read the text on your own, or listen to the narration as you take in the sights. Narrated in English.

Two Buck Tours include photos, maps with GPS, directions, tips, hours and interesting information about each site. Once the tour is downloaded, it is self-contained on your iPhone or iPod touch - no internet connection required.

Good for tourists and locals of all ages. If touring at night, be sure to travel in groups.

Not visiting DC anytime soon? The history and photos will let you experience the city from your town.

Good content, but your phone screen has to be on or the audio stops playing which makes it a bit temperamental to use.

Well worth the $2 price

We were lucky enough to visit Washington while the cherries were in bloom. We wanted to do as much as we could outside, to enjoy the trees. This app fit the bill. We were able to see all the monuments along the National Mall, starting and stopping the tour when we wanted. It is a lot of walking! Bring strollers for the little ones. Also, if you have a splitter for your earbuds, two people can listen at once.

Well done app

The audio really helped us appreciate each monument, we all learned something new at each stop. It was easy to follow the map, too. 5 stars!

App will not load

I just paid $1.99 for this app and it will not open. I'm running iOS 11.3. I have tried restarting my phone, uninstalling the app and reinstalling, etc. All to no avail. Please fix the app or refund my $1.99 before my upcoming trip to DC next week. Thanks.

Extremely helpful

Great app for walking or biking. Very useful, well implemented, totally worth three bucks. A few minor things missing (e.g. Ford's Theater) but it has all the main sights. I also used the free iTrans DC app (for the Metro lines).

Great tour, great value!

This was one of the highlights of our DC trip. The app was well done, and for just $2 two of us (we had a splitter) could walk the sights at our own pace. No in-app purchases, no advertising, no tips for the guide needed at the end of the tour... great!

Excellent way to see DC

This app shows you the sights of Washington and allows you to go at your own speed. I like guided tours, too, but sometimes it's nice to escape the big tour groups and go off on your own. The app is perfect for that.

Very satisfied!

The monuments in DC are so beautiful, so moving, that you really want to spend a while at each one taking it all in. This tour lets you do that. We spent 2 days on the monuments and another 2 days at the museums, and would’ve spent more time if we’d had it. We started the tour, took a break for lunch, then toured some more. Definitely cue up the audio, as there are some fun facts in there, and don’t forget to turn your GPS on.
