David. // is a game. A game about physics and enemies. A game about struggles and life. A game about David.

You play David, an awfully small abstracted chosen hero tossed into a blissfully simple world overrun by giant culminations of evil physics-beasts. As David, you are given a slingshot-esque gift that you will have to use to conquer your colossus foes. Hold, aim, and fling to attack (Angry Birds™ style!).

Think Angry Birds™ + Shadow of the Colossus™ + Limbo™.

I poured myself into developing this game for nights and nights and nights. It's almost tough to share. I hope it feels strangely personal. Have fun, friends!

The fact that this game was made by 1 person is incredible

Very high level of polish. Symbolic, beautiful game. A true gamer's game.

unique

i really like this game. it is unique and challenging. The mechanics are well thought out as are the vector type graphical effects. I consider this game a class act and well worth the price. Thank you for this gem.

Excellent game, also available on PC
AlucardD80

FYI: the game is available on PC too :o If you loved Shadow of the Colossus then you'll enjoy this game! It has the same feel of SotC in mobile form, which is something I've yearned for ever since I played it on the PS2. The bosses are scary in the same way that they were in SotC, they're big, intimidating, and each one is different. With the diversity of each boss I felt like I was never in the same fight twice (unless you know, I died and had to retry) I do have some gripes though :/ I'm playing on an iPhone 4 and the game feels kinda sluggish, I even discovered that you can turn off AntiAliasing (which I did) but the performance wasn't changed much (but enough to not feel like I was in slo-mo the entire time) Over all I love the game and I bought the game for my PC as well, however I haven't played it yet, but I'm sure it'll be awesome!

Wonderful.
Lumping Lumpy Lumps

This game is just that. The simplistic graphics, sound, and controls leave nothing to be desired. The difficulty is great, because the levels start moderately easy to get you used to the game, but the last half on Regular and all on Very require strategizing, quick reactions and a determination to win. They will certainly be awhile before you beat them all, but they aren't so tough that you simply quit in frustration and delete the app. The arena/upgrade game zone is pretty cool, as it allows you to keep playing after the campaign is done. The biblical touch was nice too. I love this game.

Not meant for touch screens

The game design is great but the controls are terrible, especially on iPad, there is no way to comfortably move my fingers from moving the character (the corners of the screen) to firing (usually the center of the screen) my thumbs are only so long... (the tilt option did not help me) I really want to like this game, perhaps iPhones aren't as bad but I only have an iPad and I cannot play it comfortably on this device.

Different, unique, and refreshing!

I love this app! It has a retro, arcade feel to it but it also provides a new and unique style of gameplay I've never encountered yet.

Needs work
Mjheed

Confusing to play at first. Still interesting tho. Switched to tilty to control it, but it only controls left and right, not up and down. And axis is backwards... Tilt left, moves right. No option to swap axis. And in tilty, there's no jump button... Must tap around screen to find jump button is invisible on the left now (usually on right). Need to put jump button back on right, and make a charge/fire button on left. It's too awkward to let go of iPad to touch David to charge and fire. Also, if David can't cross a wall, bad guys shouldn't be allowed to cross that wall either. Keep working. This could be fun.

Could be great.
The Cutest Puppy

It's a decent time but has some flaws. While the game is challenging, this challenge often comes from poor controls. Each enemy is unique and interesting, but I feel the overall art style is a little cliche - another retro influenced world updated to modern minimalism. Obviously the developer has talent. It's a step in the right direction, but the game feels a bit soulless.

There's not a lot of hand-holding here, but I like that the only way to beat a boss is to learn a little more about the game -- no power ups, no grinding, and a deceptively simple mechanic with a lot of polish.
