Formally known as Operation Chastise the attack on German dams was carried out on 16–17 May by Royal Air Force No. 617 Squadron, using a specially developed "bouncing bomb" invented and developed by Sir Barnes Wallis. The Möhne and Eder Dams were breached, causing catastrophic flooding of the Ruhr valley and of villages in the Eder valley.

The app enables you to try your hand at breaching the Mohne and Eder dams in Lancaster ‘P’ for Poppy. To be successful you’ll need to ensure that when you approach the ‘drop zone’ your speed and height are constant and the bomb is dropped at precisely the correct distance from the dam wall.

Along the way you’ll have to dodge obstacles and flak. There’s no hanging about - you open straight onto the bombing run so you’ll need to keep your wits about you. Once you’ve succeeded with breaching the Mohne dam you can progress to the more challenging Eder dam.

I'm sorry I wasted my money on this one. A very basic low quality graphics game. It would be a good first effort for a high school class but not for downoad on iTunes. Delete!

Never got to drop a bomb, always shot down or plane crashed. Not fun at all
