CBT can even generate a prize schedule for you. Just enter the number of positions you want paid, and CBT will generate a prize schedule for you. You can manually adjust the payouts if you like.
CBT comes with templates of popular poker tournament structures like WPT, WSOP, Borgata, Bellagio and many others. You can use these structures as is, or edit them to your liking.
CBT is also one of the most visually appealing timers available for the iPad. You can customize many aspects of the display including:
• Background image/color
• Show/hide prize pool and payouts
• Show/hide number of players remaining
• Show/hide average chip stack
CBT displays the images of the chips along with the blind amounts. And, not just any chip images... YOUR chips! You can choose from many of the most common chip sets to install (for free). Or, you can create your own chip images. A Photoshop template is available on our website.
Other tournament features include the display of the average chip stack, the number of players remaining, a 60 second timer to "call the clock", and CBT works in both landscape and portrait mode.
The idea was good but very poor execution. Stalls everywhere. Hard time setting up a custom setting.
I attempted to use this app for my tournament. At first it seemed cool, because I could load in pictures of my chips to play with and set up the structure as I saw fit. Instead, I found that the program erases anything you add and puts in what it thinks you need. You are not even sure if you saved your tourney because there is no save button. Plus the dollar amounts don't work ether. A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY. I am very upset.
App works great and being able to customize chips makes it awesome. All my buddies are jealous. I've got my chips in the app and my "house" logo in the background. Loved that developer actually took customers suggestion for a $50 chip. Thanks.
Updated Review: I uploaded IOS 6 and this app stopped working, but fortunately the developer has already uploaded an update and is ready to use again. I have tried a few blind timers and this is by far my favorite. Great interface, nice graphics, easy to customize. I also like the pre-loaded tourney structures from different poker venues, and that I can add and save my own structures. Another great feature is the 60 second clock, for those players that need the TV time to decide. I use this app once a month for my traveling game and the players love it. Great value for a buck...
Pros: - Easy to set up tourney - Add Pictures of your own chips - Add picture for background - Sets up player seats (has feature to random select seats for players, email players their seats and print out seating cards <----sweet !!!) - 99¢ - Has many major real life tournament blind structures to choose from(ex. wsop2011, Borgata, Foxwoods) - Able to add rebuy during game play and that amount automatically generates in payout percentage - Calculates chip stacks when subtracting players from game - Bright easy to read clock, blinds, payout, background, chips all in a 9 inch screen - Tourney clock can be landscape and portrait Cons: - Occasionally during setting of tournament app freezes or prize pool % shows up where timer clock is located - No save button, the only way to truly save your settings is by starting the "START TOURNEAMENT" button. Wishes for ver. 1.4(Clearvision apps listen up): - Save button - Ability to play music through itunes through app - League stats and numbers/ contact league players through optional template Overall: Absolutley worth all ninety nine cents that you collected and used to purchase this multi-ability-setting-fun app. If you are looking for an inexpensive app and are tired of the very limited free poker timer apps out there that harvest small screens and advertisements, then this is totally for you. I have some high end tournament timers on my laptop and I would say those compare to this. The battery life on the Ipad last long and long enough for a good 3 hour tourney before you have to plug in. I say worth it's the buy.
It does everything it needs to to run a home game or charity tourney. They respond to email and add features. Used it for over a year and very happy.
Non-functional app. There are buttons to add new tournament and players, but neither of them work. So can't really use the app. Even worse is the customer support. Sent two emails, and there was no response. Don't waste your money. How can such apps be allowed to be places on the App Store. But that is an issue apple needs to own.
This would be cool if it worked. Perhaps developers should update to keep up with IOS releases.
