This birthday blew me away!

Czech-it-out!

How do they come up with this stuff?!?. Just when you think it can’t get any weirder and more fun than the last one, you get your wish in this game. At one point near the beginning, I actually laughed out loud at the creative absurdity of what I was watching, then a few minutes later nearly recoiled in horror at what I had just witnessed while simultaneously stifling a guffaw. This is the most fun I’ve had playing an escape game in quite a while. The puzzles are once again a pleasure to solve, but the creativity alone feels like Stephen King directing a scene from ‘Alice in Wonderland’. While it’s not necessary to play these games in order, it certainly makes it easier to comprehend and probably more enjoyable, too, so I suggest starting from the beginning for maximum fulfillment. Ok, Rusty Lake, getting ready to download more shock and awe; here we go...?

By far one of my favorite games out of this series

Amazing

It was well done and it was a great puzzle challenge. The story is creative. And all your other puzzle games you made are equally great. One of the greatest puzzle games ever.

Absolutely awesome

Such an awesome game!! I love escape games and the Cube Escape series is probably the best out there.

Constantly resetting

Trollbead

I get stuck on the same place. In the walkthrough the ballon gets filled with water and put in the fridge. When I touch the ballon it explodes. There are things in the walkthrough that I can use but only the knife, matches, screw driver, and gum. I cannot get the slice of cake to come out. Too frustrating for me. Delete!

Violence

This was a great “chapter” in the cube escape series. Intricate and challenging puzzles, cool characters. However, the violence was a bit much. I wouldn’t recommend this one for children under 16.

The most entertaining of the series

The Literist

This is the episode of the Rusty Lake cube series that really pulls it all together. In Birthday, the weirdness, the time travel, and the metaphysical elements combine to create not only a unique atmosphere of suspense and horror but a smart game where the elements do not seem random—as they have in a few of the games—but are purposeful, clever, and satisfying.

Absorbing, Creepy, and Entertaining!

Today is a very special "birth"day for me — the day that I played my first game from this developer. And what a strange gift it was — one full of intriguing mystery, clever puzzles, and shocking surprises along the way. This mini psychological thriller kept me in a constant state of curiosity and trepidation. As the suspenseful moments unfolded, I was startled two times, causing my body to shudder in fear — something that never happened until now. Is the shadowy figure staring at me from off in the distance a real person, or just a figment of my imagination? The cartoonish graphics complemented the quirky characters, and, in my opinion, the artistic design was a smart decision by the developer to somewhat abate the gruesomely portrayed graphic violence. The items were intelligently hidden, persuading me to think outside-the-box on how and where to use them. I especially liked applying rarely used techniques, such as drawing. The level of challenge was difficult enough to give experienced players a decent brain workout. This was a great way to knock off an hour or so, especially when offered at no cost. I consider myself a very good "escape artist." But I must admit that I was forced to overcome my stubbornness and resort to the walkthrough, and I wasn't happy about it. I am very happy, though, that more games from this developer await me.
