wonderful & thanks for improvements

Mr. Iowa

it's not as slick as the apple music app (some would say that's a good thing), so the ui is more responsive when scrolling through 2000 songs. thanks for keeping the faith! wonderful alt music player....simple & easy to use. much better than the apple stock player. recent update fixed lag! thanks for making a great app

A great music player app

Chris Plus Some Random Number

This app is essentially a wrapper for your Apple Music library. You can’t change your library from here-you’ll need to use the OEM app for that-but this app has a superior interface for *playing* your music. The Now Playing screen looks great because builds the interface with colors from the album art. Also, this app is great because it allows landscape mode. It’s great to use in the car. This app is just great. I’ve had it so long I don’t remember what it cost, but it’s definitely worth it.

crashes

crashes when you search in songs

Icon color change feature not working

fletch622

There is a bug in the latest build where when selecting a new color for the app’s Home Screen icon, this feature has no effect on the app icon itself.

Great app

Apr ‘21: just downloaded v6. After it being unusable for a while, I can use the app again! So glad I didn’t delete it. Well done. Don’t forget to tip, folks! Feb 16: Again, excellent app. One request: It would be nice to quickly see what was recently played. Now, you have to play a song, then touch the queue icon. Instead, I would like to have a Queue icon that can be placed on my bottom menu - I would get rid of the Artists icon, which I never use. Thanks for a great product. Edit Feb 8: Thank you for adding back in the convenient search field! Works great. Now, with the latest update I the fed/back buttons get stuck. Also, it’s sometimes hard to find the currently playing song - it randomly disappears from the bottom of the screen. Still loving the app! 1st review: Love it. But please add back the ability to search from any screen by pulling down to reveal the search bar. Searching now requires more steps than it did before. Otherwise, I love it. I switched over when I was no longer able to view lyrics in the apple music app. This app solved that issue, so I'm a fan.

Amazing app

I was looking for something like this app, i was fed up with all the distractions and recommendations when opening Apple Music and music streaming services in general. this makes listening to music enjoyable again!

App has turned to mush!

TexWilde

Way back when I loved this app for the unique features namely multiple genres. But one day this dude stepped into the apple quicksand and slowly but surely it has become garbage just like all the other worthless music apps! I have 4000 CDs that took 3 months to rip and now I get to see nothing but my songs!! Almost 90,000 of them. These youngin’s have absolutely no respect for all the great music out there in album form!!!! And now Mike has reduced our music to the least common denominator. Well I’ve had enough and it’s time to delete this abomination into the toilet as it were.

Superior replacement for the iOS Music app

daGUY

The iOS Music app has been gradually getting on my nerves over the years. First, to make way for Apple Music and other features I don’t use, all local library navigation has been crammed under a single “Library” tab at the bottom. This means switching between artists, albums, and songs is a multi-step process, because you always have to jump to the Library tab as an intermediate step. Second, display options are limited: for example, albums display in a grid view with large artwork, which I find more difficult to read than a flat alphabetical list. Third, there’s no way to see album or song metadata like you can on the Mac; even though the information is there, the Music app doesn’t provide any interface for viewing it. Fourth, there’s no way to bookmark or pin certain artists or songs. I have a large library, but obviously have favorite artists or songs that I listen to more often than others; there should be a way to navigate to these quicker instead of having to search all the time. The final straw was with the iOS 14.5 update, which inexplicably removed the duration text from individual songs in the library view. There’s literally no way to see how long a song is now unless you start playing it first! I’ve never seen any music app on any platform not display song durations. Whose idea was this?! So I tried Cs, and was very pleased to find that it fixes every single one of my complaints with the iOS Music app: separate tabs for artists, songs, and albums so I can jump directly between them. More powerful sorting and display options that can be set differently per view. Full metadata viewing so I can see things like composers, play counts, etc. on individual songs. I can pin my favorite artists and songs to the top so I don’t have to search for them every day! And, oh yeah, I can see how long a song is before I play it! For $3, I honestly don’t know why I didn’t just buy this years ago. If you have a large local library like I do and don’t care about Apple Music or any of that, Cs works *much* better for that type of use that the iOS Music app. Just buy it! I would’ve happily paid more!

Update is a bit wonky.

Not a fan of the update.

Alphabetical scrubbing bar

..;..:.:.:.

Thank you for bringing back the ability to sort songs in playlists alphabetically! The older version of the app had an alphabetical scrubbing bar when sorting alphabetically - is it possible to bring that back? Thanks to the developer for always listening to feedback!
