This app hasn’t been updated for 4 years and now it won’t run. I remember reading that a beta version was in the works but at this rate I’m probably better off finding something else. Everything from my old review still stands, though the typos are less common I guess. I use this app mostly for the daily time challenge and sometimes to do the regular puzzles. Most of this review goes toward the daily time challenge. This is a below average app at best. It is frequently unreliable (no puzzles, unable to save your time/rank, frequently told "already completed" when it not). Also there are often spelling/grammatical errors and weird symbols instead of apostrophes/other punctuation that are severe enough to impede properly completing the challenges (and these are not errors that are within well known quotes, these are errors based on incorrect input wherein the overall famous quote is quoted wrong). Overall, I do enjoy the way the set up is but this is a haphazardly thrown together. Definitely not worth the $3 I spent on it.

I miss it :-(

You had a simple, easy to read font. Now it is large and does not fit the window.

Please improve typography!

For a game that is based entirely on text, I'm surprised that the developers seem to know nothing about typography. The interface is so unpleasant to look at. There's no white space around any of the letters; they're just crammed up against the edges of the boxes, and the edges of the screen. Their idea of a visual improvement is to make the name of the author extremely giant size when you solve the puzzle. I'm thrilled that this product is being supported with significant updates. But I just wish they'd pay a little more attention to the aesthetics. I'm also hoping that the quotes won't be quite as sexist as they have been in the past. When one of the tricks to solving the puzzles is is that you know the pronouns are almost always going to be masculine, there's definitely something out of whack. Other than this, the puzzle lives up to its reputation for capturing the spirit of the cryptoquip puzzle Iused to do in the newspaper every day, and that's great.

Daily Challenge is playable but never tells you your time or anyone else’s. New keyboard is pretty good but a heavier font would help!
