In 1987, Non Ishida, a Japanese graphics editor, won a competition in Tokyo by designing grid pictures using skyscraper lights which are turned on or off. At the same time and with no connection, a professional Japanese puzzler named Tetsuya Nishio invented the same puzzles.

This is the basis that CrossPix is based upon, these puzzles are also known as Paint by Numbers, Griddlers, Pic-a-Pix, Picross, Prisma Pixels, Hanjie and many others.

We have added a little more to the art of these puzzles, in order to solve all puzzles you must first unlock them with CM Points, which, can be earned by solving puzzles, the more complex the puzzle the more points it takes to unlock but also the more it points you will earn. You can use points to purchase hints which will aid you in the solving of the more complex puzzles.

Features include:
- Full featured step by step Instructions
- Many puzzle sizes from 5x5 to 20x20
- Hints
- Auto Save (restores the puzzle you were playing if you exit)
- Best Times for each Puzzle
- No Zooming required because of the larger iPad screen.
- Relaxing Music

If you have any feature request please let us know, we are always looking to improve our applications for you.

Awful

The interface is pretty, but some of the higher level games were simply wrong, which makes it very difficult to solve when the game penalizes you for a wrong answer. I would NOT buy the full version.

Really Good!

I love these type of puzzles, they make you think and and the harder ones are challenging. I saw somebody say that the puzzles are wrong in later levels, I was a Beta tester for this product (I Beta test many iOs apps) and I can tell you every level was tested extensively and are definitely not wrong. If there was one thing it is that maybe the error detection could be optional, but other than that the game is presented nicely and is a joy to play.

Excellent implementation
Codymaxx

I finished all 240 available puzzles (including the add-on packs). Some were very easy, others very difficult but most were in the moderate range. The largest grids were 20x20 with no scrolling required and "fat fingering" not a problem. The controls were responsive and the numbers clear and readable. I'd like the puzzle to be auto-saved if I exit before completion, and I'd like the option to play my own ipod music in the background. Please add more puzzle packs.

Nice app
Mapooski

It's a good app and like how it changes colors.....but would like to see it not close after a few mistakes....and then have to start all over again. Would buy more packs and give it 5 stars if fixed.

20 puzzles???
musyka

1 puzzle unlocked that took me 8sec to complete, but no way to unlocked the other 19 that are supposed to be available. Don't waste your time on this trial!

Need more!
Cirsp

I love how they made this, but we need more puzzles! :). When can we expect them?

Attention all nonogram developers
Baywatch Bill

Let's standardize. You all seem to have "pens" on the side of the screen which are essentially "erase", "mark", and "unmark". Please get rid of them, and make the "pen" just cycle through the three choices. For multi-colored puzzles, touching a color on the palette should select it. Also, implement "touch and drag" to color a region. Get organized, guys. Crap, every one of you implements a different scheme.

FUN

I enjoy nonogram puzzles, and liked the first pack, so purchased a full pack of all puzzles. Needed to pause a puzzle, and when I clicked on pause, it froze the game completely. Deleted it and went back to download again. Lost all extra packs I paid for. Just learned that if hit reset in options it also freezes game. Too many glitches!
