Fun, but with errors

Jess P.

I've found quite a few errors in various puzzles, including answers that make no sense and answers that are actually backwards. For example: I'm on a puzzle now where the correct answer to a clue should be "toe" but in the puzzle it's "eot." Kind of takes the fun out of it!

Needs an overhaul

New iPad User352

This game was fun for a while but there are a lot of repetitive clues and no puzzle themes. Also, this version needs an update for iOS 8 because it crashes *EVERY TIME* it initially launches.

Great game but no notifications

BSzen27

There is literally no place to turn on banner notifications in the iPhone options menu when using the iPhone 6. My wife does have them on her old iPhone though. So strange.

Eh

GreenAnole

Great concept. Takes too long to load, often. Some answers are way too obscure. Doesn't always have a notification badge. Needs some work.

Fun game, but crashes a lot

Vogon Poetry

I'm having trouble with mine, in that it erased all the games I had going, I was getting errors while trying to send moves, and just crashing in the middle of gameplay. Also, when trying to start up the app, it froze in "thinking" mode (or whatever) and I never even made it to the game. I had to kill the app, and restart. When it works though, it's pretty fun. You earn hints no matter what, so it's not too hard. The only beef I have with gameplay is that it doesn't tell you how many words are smashed into the answer (above 1, obviously). That, and it would be nice to have a stats page. And to start games outside of Game Center. Seriously, who uses GC to play games? Keep up the good work! I hope to see some good updates fixing my problems, because when it works like it should, I'll be paying some money to unlock everything else! Update (12/6/14): Still crashes. Still tells me it's my turn when it's not, and vice versa. Please fix... And also maybe come up with boards that are juuuust a bit easier. I've never heard of half these words before. Thanks.

Fun but frustrating

To be quick, I'm not a Brit. If I were, those would be 5, 6, 7 stars! I'm an American, and roughly 30%-50% of each puzzle uses British lingo. E.g., CLUE: Speak - ANSWER: Uter...what!? It's utter here in the States. Others like Jewish teacher being REBBE (it's Rabbi) are just frustrating. If this game could allow Americans to create their own puzzles to submit or get some American puzzle makers it would be 5 stars all the way. Cheerio!

Needs improvement

Lobstersouth

#1 developers should let us pick our own user names!! #2 no efforts to fix glitches have been made -sometimes games don't load properly -I would buy if it was glitch free

Fun and Challenging

Vegaspipistrelle

I'm having a blast with this app. So glad it's accessible with Voiceover screen-reader, too! :)

Game needs serious update!

amigorick

This game seriously needs a time limit to make a play or forfeit the game. Most players seem to simply stop playing if they can see that they are losing leaving those active games in limbo. . You must resign if you want to clear up all those "dead" games - that's not fair play. Also needs a personal win/loss stat screen. This game has a lot of potential but not fun in current state.

Not their fault

I think I was a bit late on the "bandwagon" I love the game, but I only ever get to do one turn due to the fact that no one else plays and there are no opponents for me to be matched up to cx pretty disappointed, I love the idea/concept of making a crossword puzzle a head-to-head multiplayer game.
