Nice but needs refining

The gameplay is pretty good for a tennis game I bought game based on the expert level play in the free version. However after playing a number of matches, the same shots that word using the v-pad don't work in the paid version; they tend to be called out more and keep pulling hard left or right. It was only $1.99 so I don't call it total waste money. Well you should have a greater degree of control in terms of where the ball lands in the court

This is the best tennis game on iOS. Play mechanics is superior to every other tennis game including Sega Virtua Tennis.

Superb game - when will player vs player option be available?

This is a truly awesome game. The graphics are great and the controls are very good. For the paid version you can truly play different tournaments and work your way up the rankings. However once you reach superstar rank #1 you invariably play exactly the same opponents all the time which is unlikely in real world. Also - would be great to have optionality to play others - real time, the way other games work. Or even thinking further - have real time tournaments with other players. Having said all that this is by far best tennis game I have played.

Too easy, very basic

Every match is baseline bashing. The players that come to net are incredibly easy to pass. Slice mechanics need an overhaul. Slicing is a defensive maneuver normally not offensive every time. Serving needs work. Hard to gauge power bar and hit anything other than a flat heater wide or dtl. More customization. Instead of "power" and "accuracy" should be options for topspin, pace etc. More tailored for tennis. Net play is awkward but easy to use. Overall good base but lacks everything that makes it a true tennis sim

Real shame

I’m updating this to 2 stars. Here’s the deal. You start out and learn to play. You can play all court, just like tennis. You figure it out, know the movement, the physics, etc. It’s fun. And the physics are awesome. Then you get to play the “superstars”. None of what you’ve learned applies. Forget it. If you want to beat the superstars here’s how. Move into no mans land, halfway between the service line and the baseline. Do this right away, after serving and returning serve. Play your groundstrokes from there. Actually you’re no longer playing groundstrokes, it’s now half volleys and swinging volleys. Then try to move forward from there after 2 to 3 shots. Keep moving forward and get all over the net. You have to smother the net to get good angles because otherwise, them being “super”, they’re going to run them down. So yeah, it’s more fun in the beginning because you can play it like tennis. The superstars is nothing like tennis because no one would play in no man’s land, but you have to to beat them. Once you forget tennis strategy and play this strategy you can beat them regularly.

You Gotta Be Kidding Me

Like so many other games since the smart phones came out, I thought I'd try this one out. As I played, it became more and more obvious that this game was different. This crazy game is the closest thing to actually lacing up your kicks and taking to the courts. I'm not joking. Oh sure you've got the basics every game has got but when throw in drop shots, passing shots as your opponent rushes the net slices or top spins to throw you opponent off with the crowd yelling for each well played point, what's there not to like. You are giving excellent training before entering the actual gameplay mode against the computer with graphics that are second to none. Continue with your training as you win matches and training credits that you use to purchase various lessons (tutorials) on different shots which by the way make you more and more competitive. As you improve your skills, you find yourself winning more games and tournaments against better and better computer players. When you begin, you may be ranked 450+ in the world ranking, then all of a sudden the next point you win places you in a position to play for the tournament championship. This game is simply unbelievable. Great Job!! This is the best most realistic, adrenalin pumping computer game I have ever played. Oh and just in case you decide to try it, when you start missing shots you normally would have made, check your pulse because this game will have you choking with sweaty palms as the competition rises with intensity. Wow !!

Best one I've played. It's helping me with my game on the real court. I Hope soon they make it to where you can play against other online players. That would be Awsomeness!
