Best surf app that rarely works

UnqNickiHope

This is an amazing surf app, that looks beautiful, and integrates with the Apple watch faces. The only downside is that is hardly ever works on the watch. Which is a shame, because that's the coolest part of it. It will work great for a while, and then not work for a few months, then it starts working again. Seems to be the common user experience for the last couple years. I sure hope they fix this sometime.

Good App but hardly ever works on Watch

Klrnole

We live about two blocks from the Atlantic so I like this app for a quick way to check the surf as well as the tides if I take the dogs swimming. The only downfall (first world problem, I know) is it hardly EVER shows up on the iWatch. I have turned on location services, reinstalled, reset, sacrificed a goat, and done everything I know to do. It will sometimes decide to appear for a few hours and then return to a dash symbol and when I tap it, I get a message to “add spots to iPhone”...which I have... slightly annoying but I’ll probably keep using it.

Swell period is broken

ZanderLeforge

Swell period always shows as 0.0 Sec. This is likely a bug. Also the Apple watch app does not show the swell direction.

Love it but not working on Apple Watch Series 3

Product Etc

Love this app and been using it on my Apple Watch Series 1 flawlessly for a couple years. Yesterday I picked up a Series 3 Watch and the Watch app doesn’t appear to be working at all. I’ve uninstalled and restarted, etc. That and the tide chart/reports are the best things about this app. Hopefully it starts to work soon! ?

Great, but Okay on Apple Watch

This is a great surf forecast app for me, at least. I look for a simplistic design that I can just take a peak at and know everything. This is the perfect app for that. What makes it even better is that it is compatible with Apple Watch. I surf extremely often and being apple to look at the face of my watch and know the surf report without buying an expensive watch built specifically for surfing is a huge plus. However, on Apple Watch, there is a small issue with it updating on the watch face. If you come across this problem you simply need to open the app and it will be fixed. If that does not work, try to reset the watch. If you are just looking for an app for your non-wearable devices, this is without a doubt your best bet. I have tried almost every app out there and nothing can stand a chance against this one. All in all, this app’s simplistic yet accurate design makes it rise above all others. Although, expect small lags on Apple Watch.

Good but slow or doesn’t update as complication on watch

MuyBueno

I like the idea of this app but it’s slow or doesn’t update on Apple Watch. It always says to “add some spots on iPhone app then check back here “

Won’t sync with iwatch

Moonpod32

Got this app to have a simple at a glance view of the swell at my favorite spots. No matter what I try I can’t get it to sync with the iwatch. Taken it on and off the watch. Reset the watch. Turned the app on/off on phone. Etc. works fine on phone but that’s not what I want it for. Just will not show up in the complication Edit:you have to turn on the local spots and allow the location services in the app on the phone. Then it will show up. Poor documentation.

Simple. Does the job. <3

Good info

Hitliquor

Nice clean design, with super easy to read info.

Locations

I love the design, but it would be nice to be sure I'm looking at the right beach. You go into a state, and it's just a list of beach names with no towns mentioned. For example, how do I know the Queen St. beach in NJ is in Cape May, or some other town?
