Unreliable, and nearly worthless!

BrettDreamer

Even though I have purchased 2 of the color alive books for my kids, this app (on Phone) does NOT allow you to scan the colored pages which it does some of the time on the iPad. What's the point of selling books and claiming they will do things when the app is obviously untested and does not do what it claims to do? Needs an update, and with all the Crayola Color Alive books being sold, Crayola should consider finding another developer that will make it work.

Doesn't scan pages or access camera correctly

Flinto2002

Complete crap. Frustrates my kids to no end.

Disappointing

.hoy

Using an iPhone 6s, but can't get all the features to work. We can scan our pages and "interact" with the 4D model, however the special effects crayon is yet to do anything. We've tried the Frozen and Barbie coloring books, and both of them seem to recognize that there SHOULD be an effect (the icon along the bottom associated with the effect shows up), but nothing happens to the scanned page when trying to use this feature. Cute idea, but if it doesn't work all the way it's pretty much useless.

Shane in you, Crayola.

Just as others have said-- the kids colored their little hearts out, but their coloring book (Star Wars) is not even in the app. Complete waste of an afternoon. Taking two crying kids for ice cream -- Where should I send the receipt for reimbursement?

Terrible

The app does not work. I could sort of scan the pic, but the lines did not line up well. I got Elsa on the screen but all she could do is turn in a circle. She did not look much like my kids version since it didn't line up well. there were no 4d or special effects options. This is on a latest-model iPad. Waste of money. Disappointed kids.

Worthless

The app only works for certain books. The book called Color Alive easy animation studio is not on the list. So with the app I am unable to use my Crayola color alive book. Go figure. The shotty attention to detail shows Crayola's luke warm commitment to this product that cost me money.

Color "Alive"

Total crap. Doesn't work at all, it was a waste of money that I now cannot get back because my kid colored the book.

Pay attention people

Deshra

If you have the Disney princess or Star Wars design studio this app doesn't work with it. If you actually paid attention you'd see on the boxes they say you need the CRAYOLA DESIGN STUDIO APP. I know this for fact since I'm looking at my daughter's Disney princess CDS box and my CDS Star Wars box. Now the new Color Alive 2.0 is out so don't expect those to work with this app either. For the person who didn't pay attention and wanted crayola to pay for their ice cream... seriously? A company should be responsible for your negligence or lack of attention? Self-entitlement at its finest....

Can't even use it

Kaylee'sMommy13

My daughter has two Color Alive books. When we try to use the app, it crashes. I tried it on the iPad and my phone. Neither works. And neither book we have is on the Color Alive 2.0 app. Would give zero stars if I could since it's completely useless.

Not working!

I have had the app for a while, but now it will not work, when I click play it just shuts down. Please fix, my kids love this!!
