Instead of an update that fixes the problem with Alien Artifacts, they should fix the problem with the game freezing if you hit "Done" while watching the opening video!!! The last update from 1/8 doesn't work anyways!! It stops updating about 75%. So far this game has cost me time and money and I still haven't played it at all!!! What's up developers??? FIX please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
challenging and playable

The longest, the most interesting, most playable and the coolest iPad shooter I have played so far. There is some similarity to the X-COM series, but not much - this is a shooter. Story is good, missions are challenging, and you need hours, hours of play to close the whirlpool… I forgot In App purchases, are cheap. :) you can buy the very best ship in the game, without playing, like for ten bucks or so, but you can finish the game without any purchases also.

I kept putting off getting this but finally got it on sale. The crappy graphics don't bother me much but the movement and control is horrible. Just walking in a straight line the screen keeps jumping a bit to the left every 2 secs and you have to constantly adjust your direction. Gyroscope just makes everything upside down and either of the other schemes doesn't make you stay straight. Hopefully more updates will come. For now I will give it a chance so I don't feel I wasted $2.

Wow this is an example of a game rushed to market without proper testing. I'm only glad I did not get the desktop version. Only played or tried to use the app for a half hour and could not believe I paid for this crap. Here's a great tip to the programmers and apple, just give us a physical controller for games like this. Fix the grass...
The game is good, but...

Except for a couple of things... The first, and most important, are the controls. The camera doesn't flow too well with looking around via the Virtual Joysticks, and the player's view jitter and jumps every few seconds.. This is the most off-putting problem with this game. Aside from the control issue, there is a lag issue. I'm running this on my iPad 2 and unless I am pressed up against a building, looking at said building's wall, there tends to be an increasing amount of lag. These are the two biggest issues that I have come across, as I'm sure many other have. Were it not for these, this game would be a 4-star if not 5-star game. Let's hope a future update fixes these issues.

This is the second App that I purchased by 3D Frost. The controls are horrible. Using an iPad Air 2 and a Six Plus. Game is poorly functioning on both.
