Cowboy Chronicles chapter 1 - Free point and click adventure game

Point and click adventure game made with no funding - written and programmed by one person.
Category Price Seller Device
Games Free Working Mill AS iPhone, iPad, iPod

It is a throwback to the classic SCUMM based games by LucasArts such as "Monkey Island", "Day of the Tentacle", "Grim Fandango", "Full Throttle", "Sam & Max" and "Indiana Jones".

Cowboy Chronicles chapter 1 was made for the love of old school adventure games, this is an attempt to create an adventure game on mobile devices with the retro "point and click" gameplay style.

This point-and-click adventure game has some twists, turns and hidden objects here and there, but nothing too challenging. After some trial and error, playing time shouldn't be more than 15 or so minutes - hopefully fun filled ones!

Chapter 2 of this western adventure is under development and is scheduled for release this year. It will be longer, with music, more puzzles, more animations, more fun and the game will be more challenging.

Chapter 2? It’s been 3years!

5 Stars Because
BrandeeLyAnn

I wanted to give your game 5 stars not only because you did this all by yourself but it’s free to play. Most people don’t have extra money for games. It’s not very long and there isn’t much to do I’d like to collect items to use on puzzles or such. I love the graphics they are beautiful and you can see the game I play and rate all the free mystery adventure games I appreciate to play because I don’t have the money to purchase anything hardly and finding a point and click interactive storybook adventure that is free is rare most I try let’s you play for a minute then ask for 5 and 6 dollars I know that’s how the developers make money but I doubt those people know what it’s like for people who don’t have any. My little girl likes the game as well one complaint would be the phrase “ always cave to peer pressure “ I’d rather it say never instead of always. Peer pressure is bad and it’s hard for some kids not to cave. I hope it was an honest mistake but if I were able to change anything it would be that. Thanks again and good luck with your creativity.

Where’s chapter 2?
Eatdatbooty

I didn’t except a triple A title experience here, but it did keep my interest. I could see paying a buck or two for chapter 2. Hop to it devs! It’s been years

Ugh...
Jklyuijhf

I started out thinking it was cute until I realized there's no way to save the game and when I reopened and it was back at the beginning I deleted it...why wouldn't you add a way to save?? Or if there is a way and I'm missing it then why wouldn't you make it obvious...like a menu button or double clicking...anything...waste of time.

Very good

I really liked this game, waiting for more.

Hmmmm.....
netherguardian

Well I don't really know what to think about this.....I basically walked around and talked to some people. The dialogue was pretty horrible and the game didn't make any sense.....

Wow!
Gamer of centuries

This game was spectacular... The story was great and the characters were great... This is hands down great! No doubt about it!

From one developer to another
Beaumont III

In the description it says that this was programmed by a single person. I'm a solitary developer myself (currently working on my first title) and I'd like to commend your work. I've only played for around ten minutes so far, but I am thoroughly enjoying myself. The pop culture references, multiple dialogues, and visual details of each area are fantastic. It can be mentally taxing working on a solo project and the criticism can sometimes be brutal, so I just wanted to tell you that, regardless of any other reviews, you will always have at least one loyal fan from here on out. Well done all around. Sincerely, Beaumont Livingston III, CEO, Stolen Mech Gaming
