This game provides various instructional methods for learning how to count coins and your hands don't get dirty.
While doing "combinations" with my son, it showed 3 nickels and 3 pennies and asked to show another combination of the same amount. We dragged a dime, a nickel, and 3 pennies. You tell me...did I get that wrong?! The app says I did and showed a quarter and 3 pennies as the correct answer!! By the way, no sarcastic comments saying that I might have seen it wrong. Wish I could have taken a picture for proof. Lol. Anyhow, good concept, just NEEDS TO BE FIXED!
This is a great little learning game for kids, especially teaching about shopping before and after going to the store. Kids like to compete with each other using Dad and Mom's fun cell phones! Tie it in with something else you're doing or learning, such as their allowance. Get them to play it five times then write down each final number and add those. The total is their allowance that week, etc., or whatever you want it to be. Just be inventive!
This will be a great way to check my students understanding!!! And the best part is it is free and there is nothing blocked so that you have to buy to access it!
Not sure how nine pennies equals a dime. This is worthless if it teaches your kids the wrong answers!
I really wish these app makers would quit saying these apps are for iPad when they aren't. This one is not, don't waste your time if you have an iPad.
I was pleased with how easy it was for young children. It allows for different combinations of coins for the child to arrive at the correct answer. It has an easy check system for immediate feedback.
This app freezes up when trying to advance to second problem. I do not recommend downloading this app.
