Good app but lacks a few things

Kalliana_

It is a really good app, however: 1) It does not give you an option to add "Notes" to recipes 2) It does not allow you to erase/edit tags (even tags created by the user. 3) Editing the steps of a recipe is troublesome, as it does not allow you to divide a step in 2 when the import wizard imports too much text into one step. 4) Does not allow you to "separate" or title steps when recipes have steps for different components. 5) Most importantly: It does not allow you to add recipes unless the app is online - which is not always possible. NB: After experimenting with the app, I have noticed a glitch. Some of my ingredients, where I write "1/3 cup" get their measurements converted into "5 1/4 tbsp" after saving the recipe, despite the fact that I am still using "US Imperial Units". I have tried to change it several times, but the app refuses to save my ingredient with a "cup" measurement, always converting to "tbsp".

Simply the best!

Simply the best recipe manager I've tried, and I've tried a few!!

App won't open

I downloaded the updates and then the app refused to open. So I deleted the app and reinstalled it. Not a very good app if I can't get into it. Before this update I could open it. Please fix it and I can give you more stars.

I ❤ this app! It literally does everything but cook the food for you & the cloud storage & super affordable . The new update is awesome!!!! The only downside is that I now need to move over my entire recipe collection of 5,000 + from my previous recipe organizer because this one is just that good ?. Thanks for the great work.

Storing recipes is getting easier and easier thanks to CookBook! Find a recipe online? Add the link and it brings up the recipe. Trusted recipe in a falling apart magazine? Snap a picture and scan in the recipe with fairly good accuracy. Create your own recipe? Type it in as you go snapping pics for each stage of the recipe. This is a 4 star rating versus 5 because there are some tweaks and small improvements that could be made but I am so happy with it as is. Plus, you get a shopping list created for you when selecting meal plans...really great app.
