No FS 2 support??
Kapvin

How is it that it works with the FA5 but not the FS7??

FX9 Good, App Good
Axis Help Me

I wish there were option to increase the sharpness while monitoring but this is proving to be a solid and stable app. Quite useful.

Easy to connect, pretty much nothing else works
Why Use Sony

Got it to connect to the FS5 with most current firmware 4.03 suprisingly easily. Other than that it’s pretty worthless. I’m using an IPhone 6s Plus so maybe it’s too old? But non of the limited functions work. I can hit record but can’t change iris or zoom or get focus. Pretty worthless.

Updates needed
SkyBalter

* needs to allow Touch to focus while monitoring during the app * needs show the AF point * needs to show face priority for face tracking * needs to have audio in playback * needs to learn from the FX9 user groups on Facebook

Garbage

Disconnects every 5 seconds

Pretty Useless

I mean, unless you really need to watch yourself because you’re solo...there’s no real need for this app. I use it with my FS5 sometimes (if I remember I have it) and it’s honestly just good for monitoring what’s going on. Sure you can hit record but, you can also do that before you get in front of the camera. It’s not hard to cut that bit out.

Needs some fixes

Needs a producer pin coded lockout.. would love some bit rate adjustments from the fx9 to the app..

Typical Sony Software Laziness
Slippery Stair

This app is terrible. It stutters constantly and looks like 240p Youtube video. The app monitoring in the Red Komodo is so much better Overall Sony seems to have real problems in the software department. Both their cameras and their apps are badly in need of software updates. I wish Sony would stop releasing products with a “Eh.. good enough” mentality and hire some talented software engineers

Buggy software
ticklemefancy

Tried using this app with the Sony PXW-X70 and it wouldn't work. I could see the cameras wifi signal with my iPhone 5s but when I tried to connect with my app it just gave me a "device not found." Very buggy software and camera! Beware.

Would be great…if it worked.

I already upgraded to the iPhone 6 Plus, but its not working with the PXW-X70. I simply get “device not found” on every device search. Turning the phone on and off and removing / reading the app does not help. It would be great if Apple would open up the NFC chip to 3rd parties…then I wouldn’t even be messing with WiFi. Oh well.
