Each puzzle consists of a blank grid, divided into various regions, with clues to the left of every row and at the top of every column. The object is to reveal a hidden picture by painting squares and filling blocks according to the rules.
The game features a unique fingertip cursor which enables playing large puzzle grids with ease and precision: to fill a square, move cursor to the desired location and tap anywhere on the screen. The square, as well as all other squares belonging to the same region, will fill in automatically.
For more fun, Conceptis Cross-a-Pix includes a Weekly Bonus section providing an extra free puzzle each week.

Edited 25 July 2020 Well, it’s been a year since my last review and I’m still hooked. I still think these are the hardest of the Conceptis puzzles, but I am finally at the point where I can (usually) do the easy ones. I completely enjoy the way Conceptis forces me to use my brain! Edited 26 July, 2019: I still find myself baffled by this puzzle many times. The doubles are pretty easy, but I struggle to get the easy ones in single mode. That said, it’s the first puzzle I open each week because I am fascinated with how it makes my brain work. Concept is puzzles are amazing! Original Review: Yet another great logic/puzzle game. This one took me a while to figure out how to get started. Unlike their other puzzles, I thought the instructions were very confusing, but once I figured out what I was supposed to do, I took off and haven't looked back. These puzzles require a LOT of work, but they're incredibly satisfying when you get them. Another thumbs up!

I love all the Conceptis puzzles. That being said, I guess I am missing something about the single clues version of these. The dual clues are great. I VERY MUCH wish I could turn off the thing that grabs it away and finishes it JUST as I am about to complete the puzzles.

This is a fantastic game. It’s the best one Conceptis has to offer. I don’t spend money on games in general but I buy puzzle packs for this and other Conceptis games because I appreciate that these are high quality games and there’s no nonsense involved. These are some of the most interesting puzzles out there to solve, and there isn’t a constant stream of disruptive ads ruining the experience. If you love this game, throw them a couple dollars once in a while (you can restart packs and get a lot of plays out of them before they become too familiar).
