I really wanna love this piano app:(

Please read that before you buy! The sound of pianos and electric panels are really good, however that’s not all. This app is crushing or freezing meaning, stop responding to midi and audio. Is very hard to know when will stop working. You can play for half an hour and sometimes it’s working fine, sometimes crushing or freezing like crazy! I’m not new to music apps using to play and make music on IOS devices. My friend also download this app and he has the same issues on his iPad, so the problem is not just on my devices. I did follow developer advice and all the steps to eliminate issues with troubleshooting. I don’t have memory is lo, a message on my iPhone X or iPad Pro. The crashing or freezing are not related to that or my memory size or space that requires to running those apps. My both devices are half full and that’s not the issue. I reinstall the apps on my devices reboot my iPad many times and I don’t see any changes. Before I even start launching this app the other apps are always closed, airplane mode on, wi-Fi off, automatic apps updates in settings off, so nothing would running a background or use my extra processor power and the ram memory when I am using the piano app. My iPad or iPhone is usually connected to Korg plug- key (midi/audio Interface with usb power connected. I’ve never had issues with this with the other apps, besides a toasted with plain with out, it was the same problem. Unfortunately, nothing seems to help:( The problem is that app is sometimes plays just fine and sometimes is crashing or freezing and is unknown when that will occur. I know this that the longer you play, then more likely often is happening. This is just not acceptable! That’s mean this piano app is not reliable and you can’t play keys without fear that app will crash. When I’m using the other music apps like, Korg module, gadget and many other apps i’m pretty confident that they won’t crash. I never have that kind of issues in different apps like with this one. Colossus app is still acts like beta i’m not fully baked product. I don’t know if they are planning to fix that? I reached to developer and they said to follow their troubleshooting guideline, of course I did that. Developer seems ignoring my responses and not really understand problem. My hope is that developer will eventually fix that this, but for now it’s been disappointment:( The app is free, however in order to play anything you have to purchase stuff $$$. I pay a lot of the piano you should expect excellence for investment that I made! I Purchased most pianos within app and spent probably around $120! My hope was to use that piano app to perform in church or stage, unfortunately there is too much issues! I cannot predict when app will freeze, crash (stop working)! Another issue, velocity: I mentioned before piano sound quality by itself is very good, especially with a big brown piano or the white upright. The problem is with velocity of the sound feel one playing soft to hard, there is no noticeable stepping from one layer samples to the other. You can’t really hear that better on electric pianos. I know some piano sounds using 6 up to 12 layers of different velocities sampling structure, but you can’t really notice steps in sound velocity playing. So what I’m trying to say it’s not perfect. I don’t want to be too negative but the last thing is piano sounds kind a mono-ish. Piano sounds more like home piano, not like a (stereo) grand piano. Be aware of those issues because of that I cannot do recommend this app:( It’s fine for practicing at home but I would not rely that app to play live on stage. I’m really hoping that this app will be updated soon to resolve all the stability issues very soon. Peace!

Free with literally zero sound until you buy a piano...

Purchase

Musacman2

Nowhere does it make available to buy individual pianos, it offers 49.99 for all only in app purchases

Incredible pianos especially for the money

I have pianos on my computer that cost a lot more and don’t sound any better and in often cases worse. The colossal piano is the “best”, but the white upright is just as inspiring in my opinion and much cheaper. In fact I’d say it’s the best deal bar none in Virtual Instruments. I’d give more stars if I could and I would definitely buy again w/o regrets. You do NEED an iPod/Pad/Phone with a headphone output. Bluetooth will have and unacceptable amount of latency as is the case on my computers as well. Maybe there are other Lightening adaptors that will work, but if all you have is the camera one, you need a headphone output in my opinion. Hopefully in the future they will add more incredible quality pianos! I like to try different sounds oftentimes and have a real affinity for vintage German uprights not to mention modern Seiler, Bechstein, Hoffman, Schimmel, Bösendorfer, etc... but some of those Grotrian, Steinway, Lipp, etc... blow my mind. Sorry for the little hint for the developers. I like collecting piano sounds like baseball cards.

Not functional without at least one in-app purchase.

GrooveMatrix

There are no default sounds, so it seems a little misleading that the app isn’t functional on download

Yes, you have to buy something... but

This ain’t you mama’s piano. The pianos in here are for real world professional application, cutting through a mix, being sparkly and real. With proper care in amplification, you could have a scary piano live. In the studio, these pianos are my go to’s. They’re unique. They also play differently than any other sampled piano I’ve used. For lack of a better word, they play “real”. Sampled pianos of this pro quality on a computer are hundreds of dollars, up to a thousand. So, if you can’t part with 20 to 50 bucks. Then don’t. Go surf the net for free glitchy stuff. Its a bargain for you get. “Apps” are cute. This is not cute. It’s gorgeous.

No free app just blank until you buy

nonamesavailable?!

Totally misleading and Overpriced pianos with no free sound to demo. Shouldn’t be in the App Store.

Let me start by saying that I absolutely adore iSymphonic Orchestra and even love the sounds in the Colossus Piano app. With that said, the size of the samples and the CPU consumption resulting with the inability to seamlessly record using this app as an audio unit left me no choice but to delete this app, because every time I record a MIDI track and try to play back or render to a WAV file, it either locked up or crashed. I tried to give this app the benefit of the doubt and bought three different pianos, but going from 13 gig to 6 gig even to a 1 gig piano sample made no difference. None of the piano samples I chose would render. It’s such a shame. I didn’t mind spending nearly $100.00 for piano samples; but I am highly disappointed that I cannot use any of them:( So, I turned to Ravenscroft 275 and I’ve had seamless MIDI recording, playback, and rendering to WAV files without one glitch. Still, I won’t ask for a refund because I am holding out hopes that the designer will remedy this CPU usage fiasco.

Top Sounds Of All The Keyboard Apps. No issues. I give money to those who put everything into their work.
