NOTE: This app is designed and intended for traditional, first-time U.S. freshmen. Policies, requirements, deadlines and other data that appear in the app may not apply to transfer students, international students, home-schooled students, and students who are not applying to college directly from high school.
This is a wonderful app to start if you want to narrow down your college choices. It also has wonderful filtering options. I also love the way it allows you to browse through the colleges. Overall a definite four star app. I do have one question to the developer regarding the college facts that shows in the very first screen when you chose colleges. Are those facts regularly updated along with the app updates? For example I was recently looking into SDSU (San Diego state university) office of admissions page and I noticed that as per fall 2019, the stats says Average GPA 3.97, Average SAT scores 1283 and Average ACT score 27.5 compared to what’s shown in the app. I understand that these stats changes every term and will vary slightly based on source of data, but I was more eager to know if these stats are frequently updated. This is more of a curious to know question and definitely not a negative feedback.
Very few colleges are represented in the database. Not everyone is interested in a 10,000+ student school.
I wish the tool listed number of sunny days, windchill averages and humidity levels in the weather portion-those things are important factors for us northerners (seasonal affective disorder=depression-we need our vitamin D!)
As a high schooler looking at colleges I really find this app useful. I do think that it could be easier to search for colleges, when I search for colleges they don’t always come up (that could be just me though). The only feature I wish this app had is to be able to search by out of state %.
My son and I found this app very easy to use and a great resource while narrowing down his school choices.
The best app for comparing colleges and finding all the information you need in one place!
I love this app and use it all the time with my students as an international college counselor. Support is fast as well as updates. Thank you!
So far I found this app to be useful & helpful. I am using free version. Also easy to navigate. Wondering if it’s worth using paid version.
