A Classic in Need of an Update

I think it's safe to say that Joshua Baran has long been dead and that's why the app is still stuck in 2011. But if Josh's descendants are reading this, please know that he was a great man and created a great app. It is your civil duty now to keep this gem alive and well. When I was young, this app was perfect for my first iPod Touch. But now I am a man, and my iPhone 6 laughs at me for holding onto this app. It continues to comfort me during the most indecisive of times, but I can't bear to watch her grow old. Please Josh's descendants... Please... Make her young again. She needs to be loved as I love her.

A Great Simple App in Need of a Few Fixes

This app is great when it comes to decision-making. This review will tell you what to expect and what my final thoughts are. Design: The design appears to be outdated. It seems to resemble iOS 6 or earlier rather than iOS 7's new design. For example, at the top of the screen there are buttons that have boxes around them and say "Coins,"Stats," etc. that are on a grayish iOS 6-like bar. It is not translucent like iOS 7. Also, the "Coins" drop down menu strongly resembles iOS 6.The bar on the very top of the screen that says the Wi-Fi signal,time, and battery level of your device is white-on-black, just like iOS 6.The top of the screen where the time and other stuff are and the menus just below it do not blend in like iOS 7 apps are supposed to. However, there are some iOS 7/iOS 8 elements within the app like the Game Center integration. It also has, of course, all of the iOS 7/ iOS 8 features in all of the apps like the Notification Center, etc. that are not part of the app but a part of iOS that can be viewed in the app. Features: Now that we're talking about iOS 7 features, let's talk about the features that come with this app. It comes with the four major U.S. Coins, but also comes with a "Coin Store." Well, it doesn't really come with a Coin Store, but the the description says it does. Well, that's because the Coin Store that came with the app closed a while ago but they forgot to take it out of the app. Now, it only crashes when you try to open the Coin Store. It comes with this really neat "3D Mode" that lets you tilt the coin in 3D. When you press the info button at the top-right corner of the screen, there is no way to go back to the coin rather than closing the app then reopening it. When you press the "Stats" button, it constantly says that the server is undergoing maintenance. Why is that? Well, that's because the server they have been using have been closed permanently. You can still look at Leaderboards and achievements in Game Center, however. Randomness: Like I said earlier, this app is great for decision-making. Some people may ask if it is random enough. In my opinion, it's pretty random. Of course, it doesn't constantly give you heads after tails and tails after heads and etc. It works just like a real coin. It may give you two (or more) heads in a row and vise versa. It may give you heads after tails and tails after heads and etc. Anyways, it is random, random enough to be random.

hangs without game center -- and I don't want game center

I have zero interest in using Game Center for ANY application, and the core function of this program should not require it. Instead, it starts game center login EVERY TIME the program is launched. By deleting the program, it won't get launched anymore.
