⎜ Overview of Operation ⎟

Recorded data is saved as Runs. Each Run starts when the vehicle exceeds 20MPH/33KPH and ends when the vehicle is moving slowly. The run includes several seconds of data before the recording trigger speed is reached. This way the start of an auto-cross run is included.

⎜ External GPS Modules ⎢

Due to limitations of the built-in GPS module, the data may suffer from inaccuracy. An external GPS module is recommended for improved accuracy.

Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Use of a power adaptor is highly recommended.

Useless. I challenge you to make this useful.

Works very well
SpeediCat

I used this app at the recent track day. Having the in-app help section is very useful to learn how to use the app without having to run to the Internet. The app works very well and gives an accurate lap time. Occasionally, it fails to record at the start finish beacon and gives you a combined time for two or more laps. Support from the developer is top-notch. He was able to correct a bug in the application within 24 hours. The ability to place multiple beacons anywhere on the track map is invaluable.

Makes you faster

Extremely intuitive and very accurate. I like how easy it is to share data.

Awesome App!

Amazing App! Yes I was speeding in the pits, oops. Recorded everything perfectly. Once I read the help section it is very easy to use. Video is great! Helped me understand my braking zones better and improve my corner speed. Would like to see a summary page in the Pro app like that of the free one. Maybe it's there already, just need to find it. 6 stars from me!

Awesome App

I bought this app to use for auto-x and hill-climbs. It works great! I've only been able to use it for auto-x so far but it is very accurate and give's you all of the information you could ever want about your run. It will tell your speed at any point on the course and G-forces. You have to buy an external GPS receiver to cover for the inadequacies of the phone, but that's a small price to pay to turn your iPhone into a $1000 data logger. It will also auto start/stop the video so you don't have to worry about missing your best run. Also the developer responds to feedback and emails quickly. You can tell he is very interested in making this the most thorough data logging app possible on the iPhone. I highly recommend this app.

Love the data exchange!

It is great to compare data with friends (especially the fast guys) at the track. We send all our data to an iPad and compare. Awesome app!

Outstanding

This $5 app gives you the same (actually more) functionality than standalone laptimers which cost hunderds of dollars (Yes you'll need to buy a $100 external GPS for it to achieve the needed precision, but you're still ahead) I do approx 8 ~ 10 track days every year and this app is great. The two MAIN reasons why I love it are: * Predictive laptiming (you immediately know if you gained or lost time) * You can video-record your session and can immediately review your last session (with telemetry overlay) when you're back in the pits And last not least: The developer is responding very quickly and is super-friendly (he is a racer too)

a must for high performance driving
dpcars

excellent tool for car and driver improvement. it gives you not only the lap time but all the data you need to see how you got there - and how and where you can go faster. all in a usable cost effective package, right there at the track so you can make changes from one run to the next and see the results.

Almost there

Well for use at the track only it offers the best iPhone interface, but there is only a very limited way of viewing this on the computer. Maxq data is the only option for pc users and the company is no longer in business. Harry's laptimer uses circuit tools on the pc which is much more helpful as it can automatically assign beacons and allow you to change them for equal sectors max speeds or both min and Max allowing you to separate the corners or even break them down into corner entry and exit. Much more helpful IMHO to find the last few tenths around the track.

Great App

This app is great best one I found by far. Would be nice for some drag racing support in the type tab and a way to delete tracks. The video is smooth and for the price it cant be beat!!!!!!!!! Update they now support drag racing woot!!!!!!!!!!!! Posting app on message boards.
