Amazing but one issue

I had always been looking for away to catalog comics to not by duplicates. This app is FANTASTIC and is exactly what I needed. There is one bug though that my friend and I had where when you searched for comics to add it would create a second window

I’ve wanted to get my comic collection organized for years but it just seemed like such a monumental task, I kept putting it off. This app has finally given me a tool that makes the work of organizing not seem so daunting. Being able to scan bar codes and watch my collection build in the database is amazing! I have some weird stuff but I haven’t found anything the app couldn’t locate. Great app for novices and serious collectors alike!

Seriously, I know it’s hyperbole, but I don’t know if I’ve ever used an app this useful and reliable. The database is phenomenal - the other day I found out I can search the names of writers & artists I hope to meet at upcoming conventions, and CLZ will show me exactly which issues I have of theirs to get signed. As a comic book collector, this feels like the only app I’ll need for quite a long time.
I like it but it is buggy.

I like this app a lot but it has always been buggy. I had a problem with it replacing comic book covers with other comic book covers in my collection. The only solution was to erase both books and re-enter them. And if you had notes for a book, you had to re-type them in. The app still crashes repeatedly; sometimes four or five times in arrow. Since the last two updates, now it crashes when I try to upload my comic book covers to the cloud. Like I said, I like it but really it is very unreliable. It seems like they now have this app working right. One thing I wish they would do is allow more fields for editing, like the creators/characters field. Maybe make more features like theses available through in-app purchases?

This is by far the best app for collecting comics. It’s the only one that I’ve actually had the patience to try and catalog my entire collection. Been slowly cataloging my comics since I bought the app. I can usually get through a half box of comics in 10-30 minutes depending on if the comics have barcodes or not. It’s super easy to add comics to your collection. The loss of one star is due to a few things. The first being, I have noticed that sometimes the series you look up aren’t complete. It’s not often, but it happens. For example, I was looking up Marge’s Tubby from 1968 issue 48, but when looking up the series I noticed they stopped at issues 45, which I don’t get why. The series still kept going, so why aren’t the issues there. Also, it starts at like issue 8, what happened to the first 7 issues? Another problem I have noticed is that sometimes the variants are off. What I mean by this is that some comics listed will only show variants (why not the show the regular cover too?), or they are missing some variants, or other printings don’t look like the actual printing (ex. If a 2nd print of a comic had a Red logo they will just post the first print cover and said “2nd print” it’s not often, but still). Another small thing that bothers me is why can’t we choose which cover shows up as the thumbnail for the comic series? I don’t like that it’s always the last comic in the series. Lastly, the barcode scanner is amazing, but if you use the +2 scanner it rarely finds the issue you are looking for. It usually says “no results” or if you are trying to scan, let’s say, Batman #15 vol 2, it’ll show up at Batman #*** vol 1. Like it’ll be a random number of a different series, so I have to find the book manually. Other than that the app is great. Definitely recommend it. Worth the $14.99 price. It’s so nice to see a list of all my comics because I’ve forgotten that I owned a lot of these over the years.

Up and fully running in only a few minutes. Easy to learn. Quickly added a couple of lengthy series using bar code on 1990's era comics. Updates to the app have enhanced functionality. Works great on iPhone and iPad.
