Using CLOS app is just as simple as creating a virtual room and sharing the link with your friends. Once your room is set up you can manage the process remotely just like if you were in the same room with the participants, whether they are across the street or on another continent.
Make photos, record videos, save them in high resolution straight to your CameraRoll or to the Clos Cloud right inside the app.

By default, the pictures are saved on the model's device only. Use this option when the model's privacy is a priority.
With Clos Cloud enabled, photos will be saved to the room creator’s account.

I’ve used Clos app for the e-commerce remote photo shoot, it worked out great. Highly recommend to try, app was very easy to use and gave me great quality images. Better than FaceTime.
The quality is not good enough

Hi, Thanks for the app but still need to be develop. The problem is the quality of the pictures is like FaceTime screen shots or FaceTime live snap shots. I tested and took a picture with actually phone and with the app and the is the big difference on quality. Looking forward to improve!
Great idea, not so great execution

As a photographer I love the idea of being able to take high quality images remotely. However, I don’t like the fact that my models/clients have to download the app, create an account using their Apple ID, all before we can even start a session. It’s too many steps to me. I also don’t like that all photos are saved to the clients/models device, makes me concerned what images might not make it back to me.

That’s a HUGE deal-breaker for me and 99.9% of photographers. Just imagine, there IS the potential of not receiving some or all photos/videos from the model or client. Seriously, who wants that risk??? So... Move along, folks. Nothing more to see. To developer: There should be an option to choose if you want photos saved to photographer’s device. Fix/update this and you’ll have a viable app. I mean, if photos can be saved to the photographer’s device with FaceTime, then it should be doable with this app.

Never thought this app would be ready so soon, yet it came the very best moment when everybody needed it, during a quarantine. I’ve used many Clos App since I’ve been doing webcam photoshoots through different parts of the world and I found interesting how easy is to connect with those old clients and use their camera like never before. And the best part? Is FREE!

This app is a great tool. Gives you more control than shooting from FaceTime live. It will be even better once the images can go straight to Dropbox. Hoping that’s soon!

I have used CLOS for 4 remote shoots now, each lasting at least an hour. I’m impressed by how well it does what it does, and am looking forward to the development team adding in support for Raw and Manual control. There’s a lot of differences between shooting in person and remotely, so keep that in mind when downloading this and trying it out. Don’t criticize the app for things beyond the control of the developers due to the iOS platform or the nature of remote portraiture.
