Needs to keep the screen on

Backmaster11

It’s not practical to change the screen sleep time to adjust to this. Needs an option not to turn off the screen otherwise it keeps turning off in the middle of tuning.

Used to be great. Now it’s super jumpy.

Not sure what happened. This app used to work great for me, somehwere along the way an update, or an update to my phone, has made the responsiveness slow and glitchy/jumpy. It doesn’t pick up the low strings on my guitar as well as the high strings either. Hope they give it a positive update soon.

Tuning app

It works better than my battery operated little tuner

App crashes every time I open it.

Best tuner ever

Can’t say enough about this app. Great for all instruments!

Ain’t broke, don’t fix it

As a guitar teacher, I have referred so many students to download Cleartune. The update a couple years ago made a great app considerably more frustrating. The green arrow pointing to the exact pitch you’re on used to only turn green when you were perfectly in tune, staying yellow when you were not. Now it’s just always green, which is confusing for my students. I avoided updating the app on my iPad for that reason, but recently was forced to update it finally. I also don’t know why the updated version has a more zoomed in version of the pitch wheel. It was great the way it was, please go back.

The app no longer works. I have been using it for years and it did great. Very sad.

Give us the glissando feature back!

drums&tubs

I specifically bought this app for the “unlock” feature that enabled the glissando pitch wheel that a friend showed me but the current version doesn’t have that feature. Huge drag and very disappointed.

this is it

the best tuner on planet earth. accurate, fast, and, most importantly, *steady*. that’s what keeps me coming back to it after all these years. i’d pay a $10 a year subscription if i had to for this but i think it was only a buck or two when i bought it in 2011 or something.

Good, accurate - but

Would give this 5 stars, but with one of the updates they removed the auto calibration feature. I use this app to tune pipe organs, and because of frequent changes of temperature and air density, the need to recalibrate is frequent. As far as accuracy goes, it’s the best for securing an equal temperament.
