Great App

l259

I have tried a few different pottery notes apps and i like this best. I like tHe ability to enter my own clays and glazes, multiple photos, plus the ability to add notes. Simple, easy to use. I’d love the ability to search by keywords, add multiple glaze combos, delete the default prestored glazes and clays, and would be awesome if i coUld use my apple pencil in the note section, but i know some of these would take more time to develop. really the app is quite good and with the notes and photos i can do most everything i need.

Editing

I was loving this app until I realized that I couldn’t delete the existing entries for glazes, location, etc. I don’t use any commercial glazes and this provides a lot of unnecessary visual clutter when I’m looking for my custom entries. Would be 5 stars otherwise.

Want to love it!

I want to love this app so much, and it’s so close. It looks great and is user friendly. I need to be able to add multiple glazes. It’s a deal killer. I want to be able to tap, tap, tap (in order of use) and have them be listed. A full dip, 2/3, 1/2, 1/3, etc. would be even better. Hope to see these updates on the future. Until then I’ll be using something else, unfortunately.

Great App

I love this app & use it all the time. I would give it 5 stars if it wasn’t so buggy & would load properly. It jumps around a lot on the main page & takes a lot of time to load pictures & selections. I only have about 150 pieces on there & plan on adding lots more. still love the efficiency ?

Love it!

I love this app. I've been using another similar app, but I was frustrated with it. I love your categories, which makes it so much better. A couple of requests for future updates. If you could add a 'sold' category, that would be incredible. For now, I am improvising by using Finished. I would also love to be able to delete preloaded values that aren't applicable to me. Finally, if the data could be exported to Excel, I'd be in heaven! Thanks for this great app!!!

Finally! A potter app with good UX and UI!

This app is simple and that makes it magical! I love being able to add my own clay bodies and glazes and being able to categorize it all. I’d love for some customization (multiple outside glazes, dimension pre&post fire, etc) and an export feature (always worried when I can’t get my data out of the app). I see there is continuous improvements which makes me less hesitant to completely switch over (import from csv would be nice too). Hoping some of the features requested in the reviews are on their way. But overall excellent app! Thanks for making it!

Nearly perfect

LoAbb94

Love this app! So user friendly and nearly perfect in every way. Love that you can take photos at each step. Would love to be able to select multiple glazes and order them. Especially if it’s dipped 2/3, 1/2 way down. Writing all of that in the notes makes documenting pretty slow in the app to actually make it functional. Another thing that would be great is rating the pot so that I could search or sort my work by what has worked and what didn’t. Otherwise I’m just endlessly scrolling. I wonder if I told he same way you add custom glazes, could you add custom categories? For example, I don’t really care how much my pots weigh, but I’d love to track the shrinkage rate instead! Thanks for making an awesome app for us potters. ?

Good idea, could be better

sompots

The concept is great, however pre-categorized key data entry is missing and needs to be entered in notes such as firing environment, temperature, glaze/clay combinations, decoration techniques. I consider this info more important than completion dates. Entering it in notes also negates the purpose of the app, I could do this in the notes app in that case. Also, not being able to add multiple photos at once is a hassle when trying to document older pieces.

App is super-helpful

WowCarol

After trying others, this is the pottery tracking app I use exclusively. I’d be lost without it! One request: the ability to reorder the photos to change the sequence. I’d love to drag photos into a new order in the lineup. Also would love to be able to swipe through the photos of a piece in “big” mode, rather than needing to open and close each photo. THANKS FOR MAKING THIS APP!!!!

Great app with a few additions needed

Got_Music?

Like others have said, after trying a few different similar apps, this is the best one! I love the checklist style of adding steps, and everything is overall super intuitive. The recent updates say that you can delete and edit the clays, glazes, etc. but I can only edit custom ones. My studio has limited clays and glazes and I would like to be able to remove all of the options that I don’t have. This is my biggest request right now. As others have said, options for hand built vs. thrown, additional steps for decorating, and options for glaze applications would be great updates too.
