I used to “only” listen to KUSC at home and at work, but now I listen to it in the car, too. Basically, if I’m awake and not in a meeting or rehearsal, I’m listening to KUSC! I love the app, too. It comes in handy for those “driveway moments” when I’m enjoying something so much that I can’t bear to stop listening for the 3 minutes it takes to walk from my car into my home. The hosts are like family to me. On the (thankfully rare) occasion that one of them leaves (Dennis Bartel, I’m talking to you!) I have been known to cry. Many years ago, when Gail Eichenthal deserted us in favor of New York City, I felt betrayed & was depressed for many weeks. I’m so glad she saw the error of her ways & returned to us! In short, KUSC is all I need!

If you like classical and orchestral music, KUSC is a wonderful station to listen to. Besides the wide variety of classical pieces from different eras, KUSC also sprinkles in the occasional film soundtrack, as befits a station originating out of Los Angeles/USC. Great hosts are the cherry on top. The app itself is very well designed and not buggy at all. It tells you which piece is playing and includes handy features like a timer.
Would punch a “ten” if the KUSC galaxy was extended zero to ten! Agape’ from West Columbia, SC!

I lived in Brentwood for 15 years before retiring to Italy, where I am now enjoying KUSC in the Puglian sun. Thank you for the excellent selection of music and just the right quality and length of DJ accompaniment. Brilliant stuff.

KUSC is always on, pumping peacefulness into our ears and drawing us back to center. It starts each Sunday am at 6 when I fill my heart up with Soul Music. Later it’s From the Top where I’m reminded how much hope there is for today’s youth. KUSC to me is the Music of California that helps me dream, plan and live. Thank you Internet from letting me take KUSC with me wherever I California.
