CityGuard (حارس المدينة) is a mobile application offered for free to all Abu Dhabi residents, be it UAE nationals, working expatriates or visitors to the Emirate. CityGuard allows the public to report incidents and submit complaints related to the Abu Dhabi Emirate directly to the government. With its slogan "Your City, Your Community, Your App", CityGuard aims to increase civic participation and collaboration between the public and the government to improve the Emirate at all levels.
By using this mobile application, residents can report incidents by taking a photo, recording a video or audio clip and using the CityGuard interactive map to record the exact location of the incident. CityGuard will automatically create a case for the incident with the Abu Dhabi Government Contact Centre which will promptly assign the case to the appropriate Government Entity for resolution. From "Open" to "Closed", residents can follow their case by using the CityGuard mobile application, going online to http://www.abudhabi.ae, or directly contacting the Abu Dhabi Government Contact Centre at 800 555 or [email protected].

Helpful application for the country

Just started using this application, already loving it. The feedback from the city is nice and it's so quick and easy to use. I snapped some pictures on the way to work where usually I would think to call later but never do. Abu Dhabi seems really committed to being the best place to work and live.

The app is great in general with realtime response. The only comment is rather on how app look and feel not on practical side that the app is not utilizing the full 4" screen of iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s. Moreover it is not been design for retina resolution.
