Raising Responsible Kids

After years of nagging my kids or just doing their chores myself, I love using the Chore Check app. My kids like using technology to track their chores and mark them as finished. They also like to see how much money they've earned. I believe that I'm raising kids who will understand that hard work means you'll make your own money. I hope I'm one step closer to raising responsible kids!

Chore Check has been really helpful in getting my kids to go above and beyond the normal chores they are expected to complete. My kids love seeing their card balance add up, and I love not having to worry about paying them cash. One tap on my phone and they have funds instantly on their debit cards. Great app!

I really like this app ... and it's simple to use for both parents and kids. I remember when I was a youngster and my siblings and I would fight for who gets the "easier" chores ... and this app solves that problem by allowing the kids to decide: take an easier chore and get paid less, or the harder one for more cash :-)
Acknowledge the chore

It's not easy to add a chores to a child when he/she completed a chore. Chore already listed when going in to assigned the chore to the child the little round circle to the left does not acknowledge it.

Great app and easy to use but time zone is incorrect. Please make necessary updates to make app run smoother.
Great concept, but buggy

Love the idea but there's quite a few bugs that keep it from being efficient. Some elements visually disappear or tabs freeze up until restarting the app. Under the chore status tab, it shows that random chores have been completed on random days (when I haven't confirmed/approved any chores) and no way to change that (the check box doesn't check and uncheck). I'd like to see a "chore type" option that is more evergreen/anytime and not specifically time-stamped, for bonus money-making chores like "wash the car". I'd also like to see a "punishment" option that could deduct money (rather than simply not getting paid) for skipping important chores like "feed the dog". Please keep making updates, this has potential to be a great app!

Good app, would like to see the option to charge the kids, some like the kid pays $1 to be able to play games.

Requires too much info on my kids. And how many kids (between 5 and 12) that you set up a chore app for have their own mobile number? Most in our neighborhood have a device, but typically not a mobile plan. It would be nice if they could see and mange from their iPad or iPhone (no phone plan). But since you require a phone number, instead of their iMessage (email), it doesn’t work.

Before this app every time I came home from work there were snack dishes dirty all over the house and school clothes on the bathroom floor, and I was constantly nagging to have someone take the trash out... Now I come home to clean dishes, and a tidy home with empty trash bins!! Thank you Chore Check!! This app has transformed our lives!!
