Works great on my iPhone 5, but crashes on my iPad 1, could you add support for that iPad running iOS 5.1.1?

This app is great but stopped working a few days ago. I cannot bring up games from the database, which is the most important function. The opening book is not working, either. I have tried standard solutions such as making sure that I have an Internet connection, turning the device off and on and resetting it to no avail. Attempting to contact customer support has gotten me no response. In fairness I must revise the comments above. I have succeeded. I have gotten this app working again after getting a new Internet connection. It is a fantastic app that facilitates the study of chess in numerous ways. My real problem was getting help to solve the problems which even baffled people who work professionally in the computer field. So my only caveat is to warn the user that you must have a good internet connection!

Not working

No games show up. I paid $4.99 for an app that doesn't work at all. Fraud.

Poor quality app, not up to Chessbase standards

This app has numerous bugs and design flaws. For example, you can replay games in a pgn file, and you can enter your own variations for analysis, but there is a bug that doesn't allow entry of variations after the last move of a game. Another bug prevents you from moving pieces located on the a-file--the app exits the game and does not save any analysis you may have entered. One design flaw: when replaying a game, it doesn't allow access to all of the game header information--just players names. It is an amateurish app, and I have requested to Chessbase that they update and correct it, to no avail. It appears they have abandoned support for this app.

Not sure where to begin

Oh, well, sometimes you buy an app before reading reviews...'how bad can it be?'. Well, compared to their Online offerings everywhere else, avoid this like the plague and use a web browser instead. Looks like some college intern threw together a barely working prototype, and they decided to offer it on the Apple App Store. 'Nuff said.

Could be great, but...

I love Chessbase, and the potential with this app is enormous. But this app is plagued with a large number of minor bugs, and when added up, the end result is a rather mediocre experience. The strange thing is that all the bugs could easily be fixed, yet Chessbase releases no updates whatsoever. Too bad, and a missed opportunity for Chessbase.

Very primitive and non-intuitive

I do use it frequently. I figured out how to loan games using iTunes and how to enter and save games. It's not easy to understand though and Chessbase usually produces a better product. My biggest concern is no updates for 6 months - so it is hard to hope.
