Really great app

Joe Langeway

This app does everything I could think to expect from it, and enough more than that that I want more. When analyzing a game, I wish it would explain or show somehow how it would have punished me for a “bad move”, had it not been configured to go easy on me. It occurs to me now while I write this that I could probably just pick up the game from those spots at a higher difficulty level if I tried in the app. I just get confused ‘cause it always labels the moves I think of as “game winning” as “bad move”. I’m not great at chess.

Learning how to play

I captained my high school team 50 years ago then got busy with life. Watched Queens Gambit late last year, downloaded this app, now playing again daily and LOVING IT. Never too old to learn.

Excellent Chess App

Powerful_Cornelius

This is an amazing chess app. It’s perfect for beginners or pros. You can learn how to play and actually analyze your moves from a previous game. There are many customizable options and ranges of difficulty. It’s perfect to pull out while waiting to kill some time or if you want to practice your skills.

My favorite chess trainer so far

FEB777

When I first tried the free version and then I turned on the suggestions, I saw all the green lines flashing everywhere, I’m not sure what I was thinking, maybe I thought it was a bit confusing. I deleted the app. I got a bit more experience with other apps, videos, etc. I came back to it and just absolutely love the green lines for the main lines and suggestions. I immediately bought the pro version. You can play the trainer, at many chess ratio (ELO) levels. So you can gradually ratchet up your experience level, but still get the suggestions as you go. Or you can just play the chess program at max level, it’s tough! And then there is a really large library of famous games you can watch and analyze, Fischer-Spassky, Fischer-Byrne, Anand, Karpov, many others. Fantastic value , I recommend just getting pro version

Great way to improve

Nolee521

I’ve been using this app for years now. I have a little over 600 games against the Trainer (no take-backs or suggested moves on) saved on the app. About 580 of them against 1800 ELO Trainer—the rest, mixture of games against 2000 and 2500 Trainers. I started out as 1400, and today (05/12/21), I beat the 2925 Trainer! This is more likely a fluke, one that I may not be able to repeat, but the point I’m trying to get across is this: I would’ve never been able to beat 2000 or 2500 Trainers at the time I started using this app, let alone winning against 2925. It just shows that I’ve improved during the times I used this app.
