This could be a nice chess app, but often crashes on my iPad air. Many bugs need to be worked out.
Good concept, but glitchy

Good idea, but some glitches exist. I tried putting a game manually with extensive comments, but somehow my saving attempts did not save the game. Later simple entering the moves with short comments worked just fine. Inconvenient that you have to drag pieces. Nice that you can email pgn database from elsewhere and open it in this app.

I have been waiting forever for someone to create a chess app where you can truly navigate databases and annotate chess games. This app is it! There are some glitches but the developer responds quickly and fixes them! Highly recommended! I look forward to even more improvements but I already is this app extensively!

This is the best app that allows you to manage a database in PGN. So if you want to study games from books while entering the moves and sub variations this app is for you. I use it to study chess tactics out of some books I have while entering all the variations, and sub variations. If you have been looking for a good chess database app for the iPad or iPhone this is it. The price of the app is extremely inexpensive for an app with this kind of functionality. It also integrates with Dropbox. Thanks to the developers for bringing such a good PGN database management tool. I have a FIDE 2100 chess rating and this is the app I have been waiting for.

Great app but interface needs polishing

Great app with tons of feature. I especially like the copy/paste games, support for annotations and sub variations, folders for database mgmt, iCloud support, and access to PGN Mentor website to download databases. Would be great if these features are added: - auto play games - remember last position/game opened in a database

If you like creating your own databases with annotations and textual comments on a mobile device, this is the app for you. It includes an engine, common moves, great interface, and ability to edit seamlessly. It is imperfect but overall quite user friendly Key needs/problem are: the program is not bulletproof upon saving your work. If you don't save database and then save game separatel, you can Lise hours of work Does not allow download if cbv files Freezes sometimes
