Yes this app will ring an alarm when the battery has reached a chosen percentage of charge... but only if the app is active. Several different alarm sounds can be set and will ring if the app is active and showing in the screen. If you launch the app, plug in the charger (or vice versa) and then lock the screen you will only get one little bleep when the battery charge hits your set value. You won't get the alarm sound you chose. For fastest charging, it's best not to keep this app visible on the screen while the phone charges because the lit up screen takes away some of the power that otherwise would go to the battery (below 80%). I like this app. It's simple and it works. I use it often when I only want a quick 80% charge.

Why can't this app sound the alarm when the screen is locked? Other apps such as "clock" can sound an alarm when the screen is locked. If this app could sound the alarm when the screen is locked, I would give it 5 stars, but for now it only gets 2 stars. Please fix this app and I will come back and give it 5 stars.

I’ve only had this app for a few hours so my rating will have to be edited in a few days. I like good visuals and this one has it and so far seems to be pretty accurate. One thing that is annoying is every time I use it I have to go to the App Store and open it otherwise the ads are still on the screen. I paid for the better version but still have to deal with this. About a week or two from now I will come back and re-edit this review!

Hi Developer I sent you an email many months ago about the disadvantage of this app even with the pro version since we can not listen to the desired alarm sound only if the iphone screen is on and you promise to fix this problem but nothing at all ! So either you fix it or return my money back because it is not useful for me .

iPhone X, all versions 11.2.x, the alarm does not sound, even if the app is active and not in the background. I do not recommend buying the app, or even using it.

After having excellent choices for my Android phones IOS is lacking sorely. Its pain enough to have to start this app manually every time I charge (this is a IOS issue not the app), but no excuse for the dev to not have the PAID app remember my charge level setting. I should be able to just open the app and charge. Would be nice to disable the warning also. Hope its updated

I first downloaded the basic version. I upgraded to the Pro version because it stated it would save the settings! It does not. It would be a highly desirable app if it worked as described!
Alarm Won’t Sound When iPhone or iPad Locked

Even if I leave the app active, when my phone or tablet lock, the alarm will not sound. I confirmed both devices had the volume all the way up and confirmed the alarm was turned on and picked my alarm sound. Tested this 2-3 times on both devices. When I turn the device back on, I get a notification that I’ve reached my pre-set percent of charge, but that’s all after the fact (i.e., after the device had already past that point of state of charge) with no audible alarm.
